This is a sales role focused on Water and Wastewater SaaS software solutions in the UK. The Sales Executive will be responsible for direct and channel sales of Autodesk's Innovyze product. This involves collaborating with Solution Engineers, Autodesk sales colleagues, and Channel Partners. The role requires a deep understanding of hydrologic or hydraulic engineering. Responsibilities include working with end-users designing water and wastewater infrastructure, prospecting and selling software products to new and existing customers, understanding customer requirements, educating customers and partners on software and SaaS subscription models, expanding opportunities, building account plans, presenting sales forecasts, and achieving sales targets. Hybrid working is valued, with remote work also supported.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of experience in the UK Water sector
  • Build relationships with strategic customers.
  • Fluency in English language (written and verbal).
Good to have:
  • European water and wastewater sector experience
  • 3+ years of quota carrying experience selling complex B2B Software/SaaS
  • Consultative sales methodology techniques, like outcome selling
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other Customer Relationship Management tools
  • Excel intermediate knowledge
  • College degree or equivalent experience

Position Overview

Sales role focused on Water and Wastewater SaaS software solutions. Based in the UK and reporting to Sales Director-Autodesk Water Infrastructure EMEA, you will be responsible for Autodesk's Innovyze product direct and channel sales activity for your territory. Activity will be built upon a deep hydrologic or hydraulic engineering knowledge and include sales to existing customers and new customers in collaboration with Solution Engineers, Autodesk sales colleagues, and Autodesk Channel Partners. We value hybrid working and if you live near enough to one of our offices you are welcome to work there some or all of the time, but remote working is also supported.

Responsibilities

  • Work with end-users who are designing, managing, and operating water & wastewater infrastructure for the future. This is an individually contributing sales position

  • Focus on Water Infrastructure product sales in your assigned territory by prospecting and selling complex software products and services to both existing and new small and medium-sized business (SMB) or enterprise customers

  • Uncover and understand customer requirements to recommend and sell Autodesk's Water Infrastructure (formerly Innovyze) products or industry solutions

  • Educate customers and channel partners regarding Software and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) subscription-based software license model

  • Expand opportunities and increase average deal sizes by cross-selling a customer-loved portfolio of Autodesk products

  • Build & maintain territory account plans and detailed financial forecasts

  • Present accurate sales forecasts, and achieve sales targets

  • Leverage Autodesk sales methodology and sales tools best practices

  • Undertake account planning, including profiling, positioning strategy, needs analysis, business justifications, sales opportunity development, service improvement planning, and long-range account management strategies·

Minimum qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working in the UK Water sector

  • You have a passion to build relationships with strategic customers and for business planning with Channel Partners to extend the impact of channel partners on your sales

  • Fluency in English language (written and verbal)

Preferred qualifications

  • European water and wastewater sector experience would be valuable

  • 3+ years of quota carrying experience selling complex B2B Software/SaaS into the civil/hydrologic/hydraulic (water/wastewater) engineering space Consultative sales methodology techniques, like outcome selling

  • Salesforce.com or other Customer Relationship Management tools

  • Excel intermediate knowledge

  • College degree or equivalent experience
