Job Summary
The Production Assistant is responsible for various television production duties required to record scenes for live and recorded broadcasts, including composing and framing camera shots, adjusting camera settings, operating studio and remote cameras, conferring with directors, setting up and maintaining equipment, and producing graphics for newscasts.
Must Have
- Compose and frame camera shots, applying technical aspects of light, lenses and camera settings.
- Adjust positions and controls of cameras to change focus, exposure and lighting.
- Operate studio cameras during live broadcasts.
- Operate remote cameras during live broadcasts.
- Confer with directors and other crew members to discuss sequences, desired effects, camera movements and lighting requirements.
- Set up cameras and related equipment.
- Test, clean, maintain and repair camera equipment.
- Produce graphics for newscast.
- Create graphics for the newscast.
- Possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment.
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Requirements & Skills:
