Production Manager (all gender)

btf (bildundtonfabrik) is seeking a motivated First Production Manager (all gender) for a comedy-reportage format. The role involves planning, organizing, executing, and post-processing film shoots, creating production and shooting schedules, coordinating with production management, researching locations, obtaining permits, and team coordination. Candidates should have professional experience in production management, excellent communication, organizational skills, and a Class B driver's license.

Must Have

• Plan, organize, execute, and post-process film shoots in compliance with legal requirements and regulations
• Create production and shooting schedules
• Plan and implement projects in close consultation with production management and producing
• Research, pre-inspect, and prepare filming locations and motifs
• Create daily dispositions and daily reports
• Apply for necessary permits
• Coordinate and communicate with the team
• Negotiate with and commission service providers and trades in close consultation with production management
• Professional experience in production management (ideally in reportage/documentary)
• Independent and self-reliant working style
• Very good communication skills
• Organizational talent and solution-oriented work
• High degree of initiative, flexibility, responsibility, reliability, and teamwork ability
• Driver's license Class B

Your Tasks

To support our production team for a comedy-reportage format, we are looking for a motivated First Production Manager (all gender) from 01.02.26 to 31.05.26, full-time and on a fixed-term contract, based in Cologne. Your main tasks include:

• Planning, organization, execution, and post-processing of film shoots in compliance with legal requirements and regulations
• Creation of production and shooting schedules
• Planning and implementation of the project in close consultation with production management and producing
• Research, pre-inspection, and preparation of filming locations and motifs
• Creation of daily dispositions and daily reports
• Application for necessary permits
• Team coordination and communication
• Negotiation with and commissioning of service providers and trades in close consultation with production management
