Internship - Integration of innovative technologies on the digital platform F/H

Join the Thales Digital Security Platform team in Vélizy-Villacoublay for a 6-month internship. This platform is a next-generation solution for securing sensitive sites, cities, and large events, leveraging Data Analytics, AI, and automation. Built primarily in the Cloud with technologies like Kubernetes, Grafana, and Elasticsearch, it handles Big Data and integrates advanced security concepts. Your mission will be to help integrate innovative systems like 360° 3D cameras for augmented reality, IoT, and SIP into the platform, designing and implementing a demonstrator.

Must Have

• Participate in the implementation of solutions for clients with integrators and technical experts
• Establish a standard architecture for integrating new systems (360° 3D camera for AR glasses, IoT, SIP)
• Build the state of the art on integration COTS/OSS
• Design the end-to-end solution on the platform in collaboration with platform architects
• Develop a demonstrator implementing the established design on Azure Cloud or on-premise
• Good foundation in system architecture and engineering
• Knowledge or first experience with HTTP/REST, MQTT, SIP protocols
• Interest in IoT technologies

Good to Have

• Interest in augmented reality (ARCore, ARKit, Unity3D, Unreal)
• Familiarity with Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, Go
• Familiarity with supervision tools like Grafana and Elastic

The Thales Digital Security Platform is the new generation solution for all operators responsible for the security of sensitive sites, cities, or large-scale events.

It relies on Data Analytics, artificial intelligence, and automation mechanisms at different levels.

This digital platform, designed and deployed mainly in the Cloud, relies on the latest technologies for orchestration, clusters, dashboards, storage (Kubernetes, Grafana, Elasticsearch, data analytics...). Its ergonomics have been specially studied, and allow, through web access or the mobile version, to best exploit all its possibilities. It has been designed to process Big Data, but also to exploit the latest security concepts: identification by fingerprint, by facial recognition...

The digital security platform constitutes the foundation of solutions that Thales wishes to offer its clients, through experiments, prototypes, and demonstrations.

Your main missions will be to participate in collaboration with integrators and technical experts in setting up these solutions for our clients.

As such, your missions will be to:

• Establish a standard architecture for the integration of new systems (360° 3D camera for projection in augmented reality glasses, IoT, SIP) into the platform:
• Build the state of the art on integration COTS/OSS
• Design the end-to-end solution on the platform in collaboration with platform architects
• Develop a demonstrator implementing the established design. The demonstrator will preferably be carried out in the Azure Cloud environment or on-premise.

Your profile

Are you a final year engineering school or Master's in computer science student with a good foundation in system architecture and engineering, looking for a 6-month internship?

Do you have knowledge or a first experience with protocols such as HTTP/REST, MQTT, SIP, as well as an interest in IoT technologies? An interest in augmented reality (ARCore, ARKit, Unity3D, Unreal…) is appreciated, as is familiarity with technical environments such as Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, Go or supervision tools like Grafana and Elastic.

Curious, autonomous and proactive, do you like working in a team and know how to analyze and synthesize technical needs or results?

A first approach to development for augmented reality glasses would be a plus.
