The Portfolio Excellence Director – OneGrooming leads the global commercial strategy, category performance, and portfolio execution for Philips OneGrooming. This role involves transforming consumer insights into market-winning propositions, ensuring profitable growth, global consistency, and local relevance for Grooming and OneBlade portfolios. The director acts as the global business owner for commercialization, aligning innovation, marketing, and commercial priorities to achieve superior business results in the Personal Care industry.

Must Have

  • Define and drive global go-to-market strategy for Grooming and OneBlade categories.
  • Establish launch frameworks, NPI readiness processes, and portfolio guidelines.
  • Set clear global standards for pricing, positioning, and promotional strategy.
  • Lead portfolio channelization using ZBA methodology.
  • Develop and manage commercial scorecards and KPIs.
  • Deliver profitable growth by optimizing assortment, pricing, and A&P investments.
  • Drive regular performance reviews and corrective planning.
  • Identify and quantify growth opportunities by analyzing consumer, competitive, and category trends.
  • Partner with regional category and commercial excellence teams for seamless in-market implementation.
  • Build strong relationships with global strategic customers (e.g., Amazon, WMT, MediaMarkt, Flipkart).
  • Co-create joint business plans and activation programs.
  • Act as a global integrator across marketing, commercial, and regional functions.
  • Mentor and develop regional commercial and category excellence teams.
  • Lead with vision, clarity, and collaboration.
  • 10+ years of experience in consumer marketing, innovation management, or category leadership (FMCG, Consumer Health, Beauty, or Grooming).
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.

Job Description

The role leads the commercial strategy, category performance, and portfolio execution for OneGrooming globally, shaping how the brand wins in a fast-evolving Male Grooming landscape. This leader transforms consumer insights into market-winning propositions, ensuring the Grooming and OneBlade portfolios delivers profitable growth, global consistency, and local relevance across regions and channels.

With a strong background in the Personal Care industry, and deep understanding of emerging markets, online/offline retail ecosystems, and consumer behavior, the Director ensures OneGrooming achieves sustainable competitive advantage through insight-led portfolio management, commercialization excellence, and strategic partnership.

Acting as the global business owner for Grooming and OneBlade portfolios commercialization, this role defines how the company plays and wins across markets—aligning with the Consumer Marketing Directors – Grooming Category, OneBlade Category and regional teams to ensure innovation, marketing, and commercial priorities translate into superior business results.

Your role:

1. Global OneGrooming GTM & Commercial Excellence

  • Define and drive the global go-to-market strategy for the Grooming and OneBlade categories, ensuring alignment between innovation priorities, portfolio direction, and regional business ambitions.
  • Establish launch frameworks, NPI readiness processes, and portfolio guidelines to maximize success in market.
  • Set clear global standards for pricing, positioning, and promotional strategy, reinforcing brand equity and competitiveness.
  • Lead portfolio channelization using ZBA methodology, optimizing the role of each customer, channel, and region.
  • Develop and manage commercial scorecards and KPIs to measure execution, competitiveness, and profitability.

2. Portfolio Performance & Value Maximization

  • Deliver profitable growth by optimizing assortment, pricing, and A&P investments across markets.
  • Drive regular performance reviews and corrective planning through structured commercial governance processes.
  • Identify and quantify growth opportunities by analyzing consumer, competitive, and category trends in collaboration with the Consumer Marketing Directors – Grooming Category and OneBlade Category.
  • Partner with regional category and commercial excellence teams to ensure seamless in-market implementation.

3. Market & Customer Leadership

  • Build strong relationships with global strategic customers (e.g. Amazon, WMT, MediaMarkt, Flipkart) to jointly drive category growth and market development.
  • Co-create joint business plans and activation programs that reinforce the company’s value proposition in both premium and mass retail environments.

4. Leadership & Influence

  • Act as a global integrator across marketing, commercial, and regional functions, driving alignment behind the growth agenda.
  • Mentor and develop regional commercial and category excellence teams, building strong capability in beauty, consumer centricity, and portfolio management.
  • Lead with vision, clarity, and collaboration—fostering a culture of agility, ownership, and performance.

You're the right fit if:

  • You’ve acquired 10+ years of experience in consumer marketing, innovation management, or category leadership (FMCG, Consumer Health, Beauty, or Grooming).
  • Your skills include:
  • Strategic Category Leadership: Proven success leading go-to-market and commercialization strategies within Beauty, Personal Care, or Consumer Health categories.
  • Emerging Markets Experience: Track record of leading complex, diverse markets across Europe, North America, China, APAC, and LATAM.
  • Portfolio Management Expertise: Strong command of portfolio shaping, pricing, and channel strategies to drive profitable growth.
  • Consumer & Market Insight: Deep understanding of consumer trends, routines, and purchase drivers across digital and physical ecosystems.
  • Omnichannel Mastery: Experience managing leading retailers and platforms including Amazon and offline trade.
  • Analytical & Results-Driven: Sharp commercial acumen with the ability to translate insights and KPIs into strategic action.
  • You have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
