Products & Systems Engineer

This role involves the development and application of engineering practice and knowledge in the creation and assurance of products and solutions across engineering disciplines. This includes defining the fundamental concepts and properties of an engineered system or product, creatively determining a product's physical form, function and performance, and ensuring safety, reliability, availability, and maintainability. It also addresses the through-life support and evolution of systems and products, providing documentation and information assets, assessing the whole lifecycle environmental impact against environmental regulations and policies, and incorporating renewable energy sources and clean technologies into product and system design. The focus is on Systems Engineering and Product Design. The role requires developing competency in the area of expertise, sharing expertise, and providing guidance and support to others. The individual will interpret client needs, complete their role independently or with minimum supervision, identify problems and relevant issues in straightforward situations, generate solutions, contribute to teamwork, and interact with customers.
