Global Research Operations (GRO) exists to make that work more scalable, more secure, and more impactful. As a Program Manager III for Quantitative Research Operations, you will be the first dedicated owner of our quant infrastructure program – responsible for building foundational systems that support the entire research discipline. This is a strategic individual contributor (IC) role focused on infrastructure, governance, tooling, and data quality across quant research at Riot. Your work will involve defining best practices and standards, collaborating with craft and tech partners, and establishing long-term systems that enable consistent, reliable, scalable, and representative quant research. You will lay the groundwork for what this capability looks like at Riot and help shape how it grows. You will report to the Senior Manager of Global Research Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and operationalize governance for Riot’s quantitative research systems, focusing on tooling, data quality, sampling standards, and scalable workflows
  • Partner cross-functionally with Researchers, Analysts, and Devs to design and implement scalable systems and integrations that support efficient quantitative research data flows
  • Identify gaps, bottlenecks, and inconsistencies in current quantitative research workflows, implementing sustainable process improvements that enhance consistency, data integrity, and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with Research Craft leads to set and uphold standards for data quality and sampling (e.g., stratification, weighting, response integrity, oversampling mitigation)
  • Develop enablement systems (training, onboarding, documentation) to empower researchers across the org
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement platforms, tools, vendors, and technical solutions to strengthen and scale Riot’s quantitative research capabilities

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in quantitative research operations or quantitative research program management with a focus on quantitative research infrastructure, tooling, or technical enablement
  • Experience working with quantitative research tools (e.g., UserTesting, UserInterviews) and survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, Sawtooth)
  • Strong understanding of research quality principles, including sampling, panel health, and data integrity
  • Experience designing governance for research tools, data access, or research quality standards
  • Experience leading cross-functional programs aligned to strategic priorities and craft roadmaps
  • Experience thriving as a self-starter in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with the ability to ramp up quickly

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the games industry
  • Previous experience as a researcher (e.g., UX or market research)
  • Familiarity with Riot’s games and player base
  • Previous program experience in a large organization
  • Experience leading change management initiatives for large-scale programs
  • Experience with various project methodologies and their applications (e.g. Agile, Six Sigma)
  • Experience navigating complex, ambiguous problem spaces with overlapping or competing priorities
  • Deep knowledge of games, game audiences, and the game industry
  • Master’s degree in a related field
