Job Summary

Job Description

The QA Analyst II test engineer who works within the bigger Integration team as a Shared Service and part of internally defined products. The candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills; and collaborative skills who can work Business Analysts, Software Engineers, Value chains and across Products. Works Independently and with Senior team members to do planning and executing tests and delivers quality projects while ensuring compliance with the SDLC. Works with development teams across with internal and external customers to automate manual tasks. The incumbent must be fast learning with good troubleshooting and automation skills.
Must have:
  • Identify test scope and scenarios for projects
  • Learning, deploying, setting up, and troubleshooting multiple applications/environments (both on-premise and GCP)
  • Hands on setup of applications in Cloud (GCP)
  • Hands on Automation Frameworks like Robot Automation that includes writing new automation scenarios
  • Understands Globex, Clearing complex deployments, Integration between them
  • Execute responsibilities with minimal oversight
  • Able to handle multiple projects
  • Creating and maintaining test artifacts and facilitating artifact reviews
  • Interfacing and communicating independently with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Understanding of trading, referential, post trade applications end to end testing
  • Quick learner for CME messaging protocol(s) to perform End to End Integration testing, post trade cycles and data flow
  • Understand and hands on troubleshooting large numbers of applications and Integration points both on-prem and GCP
  • Experience with Test Automation as well as manual testing
  • Execute end to end projects with minimal supervision
  • Understands Robot Framework or similar automation tools for end to end application testing
  • Understanding and hands on creating Splunk queries
  • Experienced with SQL and Linux/UNIX
  • Hands on Java/Python
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems
  • 2-4 years of progressively more demanding work experience

Job Details

The test engineer who works within the bigger Integration team as a Shared Service and part of internally defined products. The candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills; and collaborative skills who can work Business Analysts, Software Engineers, Value chains and across Products. Works Independently and with Senior team members to do planning and executing tests and delivers quality projects while ensuring compliance with the SDLC. Works with development teams across with internal and external customers to automate manual tasks. The incumbent must be fast learning with good troubleshooting and automation skills.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Identify test scope and scenarios for projects. Identifying project risks and implementing process changes and efficiencies. Ensure to maintain high quality testing.
  • Learning, deploying, setting up, and troubleshooting multiple applications/environments (both on-premise and GCP), and ensuring they are healthy for project testing and automation. This includes automating environment maintenance and startup.
  • Hands on setup of applications in Cloud (GCP) and come up with ways to automate environment maintenance and automation of startup of environment.
  • Hands on Automation Frameworks like Robot Automation that includes writing new automation scenarios. Provide suggestions with newer ideas of automation.
  • Learn and provide recommendations and requirements for automation frameworks.
  • Understands Globex, Clearing complex deployments, Integration between them and helps with creating scripts to automate deployments checkouts.
  • Execute responsibilities with minimal oversight. Able to handle multiple projects.
  • Creating and maintaining test artifacts and facilitating artifact reviews. Interfacing and communicating independently with internal teams and external stakeholders.. Should be able to document clearly.

Qualifications:
