The QA Engineer will gather testing requirements, develop and maintain manual and automated test scripts, ensure software meets standards, document processes, collaborate with the team, troubleshoot issues, report anomalies, provide status updates, lead other QA members, create test plans, review artefacts, and research new QA tools and methodologies.
Must have:
  • Gather testing requirements by evaluating product requirement specifications.
  • Develop, perform, and maintain test scripts/cases (manual, automation, performance).
  • Maintain full, accurate, and up-to-date documentation.
  • Build trusting relationships and collaborate closely with the team.
  • Communicate clearly with the team, ensuring full understanding of tasks.
  • Document processes and share knowledge.
  • Build, maintain, and update test scenarios and test cases.
  • Report results of automated and manual tests.
  • Troubleshoot issues in automated test scripts.
  • Report issues and anomalies in the system.
  • Communicate unforeseen issues to leads on time.
  • Provide daily, weekly status updates to leads and managers.
  • Act as a lead for other QA team members.
  • Create and build test plans, estimates, and improvements to test process.
  • Review QA project artefacts including Test scenarios, Test Scripts, Defect reports and Status reports.
  • Research into new QA tools methodologies and suggest improvements to the team.
  • Minimum of 2-years hands on experience in Software development life cycle, preferably in testing DB, ETL knowledge, Migration testing.
  • Experience on Linux / UNIX environment.
  • Experience in testing backend applications build on RestAPIs.
  • Experience using SQL.
  • Experience in creating test plans.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of standard software QA processes and methodologies.
  • Ability to grasp technical and domain knowledge quickly.
  • High attention to details and strong communication skills with ability to deliver under pressure.
  • Ability to train and mentor junior QA team members.
  • Proficient in using Jira/Confluence.
  • Practices Agile principles.
  • Experience in designing and writing test automation script using Java with Selenium WebDriver for UI.
  • Experience in designing and writing test automation script using Java with Rest Assured library for Rest API.
  • Experience in designing and writing test automation script using Java with Playwright library.
  • Experience in designing and writing test automation script using Cucumber.
  • Experience in designing and writing test automation script using Maven.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Gathers testing requirements by evaluating the product requirement specifications (functional / non-functional) and raise clarifications with product owners, business analysts and customers.
  • Develops, performs and maintains test scripts/cases – manual, automation, performance, and supporting analysis to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements.
  • Maintains a full, accurate and up-to-date documentation.
  • Builds trusting relationships with team and colleagues, collaborating closely with the team.
  • Communicates clearly with team and keeps clear lines of communication open to ensure full understanding of tasks, asking questions where needed.
  • Study requirement specifications and raise clarifications to business analysts and customers.
  • Able to document processes and share knowledge
  • Build, maintain and update test scenarios and test cases based on the requirement specifications.
  • Report results of automated and manual tests.
  • Troubleshoot issues in automated test scripts.
  • Report issues and anomalies in the system in the issue tracking system.
  • Communicate any unforeseen issues that’s affecting own work to leads on time.
  • Provide daily, weekly status updates to leads and managers.
  • Act as a lead for the other QA team members.

Candidate Profile / Key Skills:
