R&D Engineer

The R&D Engineer at Valeo contributes to designing breakthrough mobility solutions by performing activities in compliance with the Discipline Development Plan. Responsibilities include reviewing requirements, ensuring robust design and validation within economical targets, supporting technical architecture, following standardization rules, and assisting in design reviews. The role involves supporting design simulations, coding, validation, calculations, and tests, while also reporting progress and escalating risks.

Must Have

• Perform activities in compliance with Discipline Development Plan
• Review Internal requirements, Customer Requirements, Specifications
• In charge of robust design / validation in line with economical targets
• Support technical architecture and standards assignments
• Follow Standardization rules
• Support design reviews, internal and with suppliers
• Support Discipline design simulations/coding/validation
• Support Discipline design calculations including worst case/statistical and support thermal studies
• Support Disciplines tests
• Report the progress of tasks
• Escalate risks

Contributor of:

• Perform activities in compliance with Discipline Development Plan of his/her PG/PL;
• Review Internal requirements, Customer Requirements, Specifications;
• In charge of the robust design / validation in line with the economical targets;
• Support technical architecture and standards assignments;
• Follow Standardization rules;
• Support design reviews, internal and with suppliers.

His/her scope could include: all or part of the design, integration, validation of blocks / product

Complying with Disciplines processes and Design Rules:

• Support Discipline design simulations/coding/validation;
• Support Discipline design calculations including worst case/statistical and support thermal studies;
• Support Disciplines tests.

Management follow-up

• Reports the progress of his/her tasks;
• Escalate risks.
