Description
The Real World Data-Science Director will design, develop, oversee and/or execute real-world evidence to support on market products in demonstrating primarily economic but also clinical utility. This position is a key collaborator with Market Access Strategy and Value Demonstration teams, as well as Medical Affairs, in identifying critical gaps in evidence and proposing solutions in respect to budget, resources and timelines.
This role is an integral local support to accelerate or solidify local reimbursement of bioMérieux products.
Primary Duties
- Evidence Generation
- Contribute to market access strategies by leveraging RWD to demonstrate clinical, economic, and societal value of diagnostic solutions.
- Identify evidence gaps and opportunities where RWD can support reimbursement, adoption, and value communication.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner within local and global Market Access, marketing and Medical Affairs, teams to align RWD initiatives with business priorities.
- Educate internal stakeholders on the strategic value of RWD and foster a data-driven culture across functions.
- Study Design & Execution
- Design and lead robust, fit-for-purpose RWD studies to address payer and HTA requirements.
- Ensure scientific rigor and relevance in study design, analysis, and interpretation.
- Data Access & Partnerships
- Identify, evaluate, and establish collaborations with external data providers and research partners globally.
- Ensure data access is cost-effective, compliant, and aligned with strategic objectives.
- Evidence Dissemination
- Publish high-impact RWE in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at scientific and industry conferences.
- Translate complex data into actionable insights for internal and external stakeholders.
- Health Economic Modeling Support
- Provide RWD inputs to inform and validate health economic models used in reimbursement submissions and value dossiers.
- Innovation & Thought Leadership
- Stay abreast of emerging RWD methodologies, tools, and regulatory trends.
- Champion innovative approaches to evidence generation that enhance the global reimbursement landscape.
Experience
1. Master’s (required) or PhD (preferred) in Health Economics, Economics or equivalent fields
2. 5+ years of experience in health economic and outcome research (HEOR) field
3. Diagnostic or medical device industry experience preferred
4. Proven HEOR expertise through publications
