Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and experienced 3D FX Artist to create dynamic simulations. The ideal candidate is creative, a problem-solver, and a team player with strong attention to detail and an autonomous work ethic. Responsibilities include keeping supervisors informed, helping meet schedule objectives, contributing to art direction for stylized FX, and working with multiple software packages under tight deadlines. Proficiency in Houdini, Maya, Nuke, and understanding pipeline issues are essential.
Must Have
- Proficiency in Houdini and Maya
- Ability to create dynamic simulations (Water, Fire, Smoke)
- Familiarity with pipeline issues across multiple software
- Working knowledge of Nuke and composting process
- Keep CG Supervisor and Head of FX informed of progress

Job Description
About The Role
We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and experienced 3D FX Artist to work on a wide variety of dynamic simulations, someone who is creative, good at problem solving and enjoys teamwork. To be successful you must demonstrate thorough attention to detail, the ability to think outside the box and be super pro-active and have an autonomous work ethic alongside the ability to quickly integrate and communicate well within a small team.
This role is due to start February 2026.

This opportunity requires talent to be based regionally - in the UK, outside of the M25 as per client requirements.
Day to Day:
- Keep CG Supervisor and Head of FX informed of daily progress
- Helping production drive the project team to meet schedule objectives
- Contribute in Art Direct abstract or stylized Fx
- Contribute on problem solve or/and design solution for stylized and abstract effect
- Work with tight schedules and deadlines
- Flexibility working with multiple software packages
- Can take direction and willing to address constructive feedback
About You
Must Have:
- Houdini & Maya experience - generalist Maya knowledge is a bonus
- The ability to create dynamic simulations like Water, Fire, Smoke, etc
- Creative with a good artistic eye
- Good understanding of the entire visual effects process
- Familiarity with pipeline issues, especially working between multiple packages
- A working knowledge of Nuke and a solid understanding of the composting process
- Thorough attention to detail. Being able to identify and correct subtle issues
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to work with tight schedules
