Job Summary
As a Relief Security Officer at Securitas, you will protect premises and personnel, ensuring safety and security. Responsibilities include preventing unauthorized access, monitoring alarms and CCTV, conducting patrols, managing keys, and issuing passes. You will also provide support and guidance to staff and visitors. This role requires teamwork, initiative, and a commitment to growth, making you an integral part of a larger security team.
Must Have
- Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site
- Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV
- Conduct external and internal security patrols
- Carry out routine tests of security equipment
- Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties
- Issue visitor/contractor passes
- Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors
- Flexibility to travel on weekends and bank holidays for 6am start shift
- Right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history
- Successfully complete the screening process

Job Description
Responsibilities
You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:
- Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate
- Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
- Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate
- Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
- Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
- Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions
- To provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises

Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:
- A valid SIA licence
- Driving licence
- 5+ years security experience
- Flexibility to travel on weekends and bank holidays for 6am start shift
- The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history
- Candidates will need to successfully complete the screening process, which may take between 6 to 8 weeks depending on their employment history
- Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken
