Job Summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a Medical Records Specialist for a temporary, full-time role. Responsibilities include communicating with insurance agents, preparing and reviewing claim forms, maintaining policy and claims information in databases, and performing clerical tasks. The role also involves document preparation, scanning hard copy files to electronic images, and ensuring quality. Candidates must comply with federal, state, and company regulations.

Must Have

  • Communicate with insurance agents and beneficiaries
  • Prepare claim forms and related documentation for audits and/or mail out
  • Review claim submissions and verify the information
  • Record and maintain policies and claims information in database systems
  • Comply with federal, state, and company regulation policies
  • Perform clerical task as required
  • Sorting and/or preparing hard copy records for scanning – document preparation
  • Scan hard copy files to electronic images, ensuring a quality image
  • Follow production procedures and completing internal documentation & tracking
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, computer knowledge, and medical terminology
  • Proficiency in reading, writing & communicating in English
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and management
  • Ability to remove staples, sort, file and box records
  • Ability to maintain record order and sequence
  • Ability to understand the importance of detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work at a sustained pace to meet production rates while producing quality work
  • 1+ year of document scanning experience

Medical Records Specialist-

PAY: $15.50 per hour (paid biweekly)- This is a Temporary (OCT-APR) no benefits role

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday

HOURS: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

LOCATION: 301 W Oak Terrace Dr, Leesburg, FL 34748

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate with insurance agents and beneficiaries
