Mimecast is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead a high-performing group of Account Managers within our fast-paced, rapidly growing Customer Development team. This role involves achieving upsell revenue targets, mitigating down-sell and churn, delivering accurate sales forecasts, and developing sales and account activity plans. The manager will build strong customer relationships, drive incremental revenue by selling new technology, and oversee business administration including KPI reporting and CRM management. Collaboration cross-functionally and participation in ongoing training are also key.
Must have:

  • Significant experience in IT sales and sales management.
  • Demonstrated achievement of sales targets and revenue quotas.
  • Understanding of corporate IT teams and buying processes.
  • Strong business acumen, communication, and presentation skills.

This team manages our upper mid-market accounts. We seek a driven, collaborative leader with a strong sales background and proven success in sales management. Understanding the corporate technology stack and cloud computing is beneficial. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, agile, and growth-focused environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead, coach, and manage the team to achieve upsell revenue targets, mitigate down-sell and churn, and deliver accurate sales forecasts.
  • Develop and execute sales and account activity plans in collaboration with the Partner/Channel Development team.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, driving incremental revenue by selling new technology and solutions to existing accounts.
  • Travel to visit customers for account reviews and relationship development.
  • Oversee business administration, including KPI reporting, CRM management, and adherence to sales methodology.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and participate in ongoing training and development.
  • Weekly end-user activities, pipeline metrics, customer retention, account growth, and monthly customer visits.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Significant experience in IT sales, ideally within cybersecurity, with a background in sales management.
  • Demonstrated achievement of sales targets and revenue quotas.
  • Experience in both direct and indirect sales roles preferred.
  • Understanding of corporate IT teams and buying processes.
  • Strong business acumen, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Results-oriented, self-starter, and collaborative team player.

The US OTE range for this position is $200,000-$300,000 + benefits. This reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire on-target earnings for this position. This position may also be eligible for other related benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. These factors and individual capabilities will also determine the individual pay offered.
