Job Description

In this dynamic, hands-on role, you will serve as the EO Services Business Unit Security Manager, integral to maintaining security practices and activities in alignment with contractual requirements and organisational policies. Working at the Orchard Hills site, your purpose is to ensure compliance with security policies and legislation, develop and monitor security systems, conduct audits, manage subcontractors and personnel security activities, and lead a small security team.

Must Have:
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and legislation while maintaining documentation, databases, and purchasing/finance records
  • Develop organisational and site-specific security documentation, including policies, plans, and SOPs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor security systems in accordance with contract requirements and organisational policies
  • Conduct security audits and oversee reporting on security-related compliance audits
  • Manage and monitor security subcontractors and organisational personnel’s security activities
  • Manage and report security incidents and investigations with the Thales Security Team, driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead and manage a small EOS security team, either directly or cross-functionally
  • Participate in ‘On-Call’ duties for unforeseen events as required
  • Relevant experience in security, ideally within an industrial or defence environment, supported by relevant qualifications/ licenses
  • Knowledge of Commonwealth PSPF/DSPF Regulations and ISO31000
  • Working knowledge and application of the DSPP/PSPF
  • Working knowledge and application of security risk assessments and audits
  • Knowledge of trade control as it applies to ITAR and SAMS legislation
  • Working knowledge of cyber security and the ISM
  • Availability for domestic travel and “On-Call” duties as required
  • Must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate Defence security clearance

Working at our Orchard Hills site, on Darug land, your role purpose is to –

  • Ensure compliance with security policies and legislation while maintaining documentation, databases, and purchasing/finance records
  • Develop organisational and site-specific security documentation, including policies, plans, and SOPs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor security systems in accordance with contract requirements and organisational policies
  • Conduct security audits and oversee reporting on security-related compliance audits
  • Manage and monitor security subcontractors and organisational personnel’s security activities

Your Experience

On day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours:

  • Relevant experience in security, ideally within an industrial or defence environment, supported by relevant qualifications/ licenses
