Job Description

The Security Systems Administrator will manage daily operational activities, incident handling, and configuration changes primarily on Check Point firewalls, F5 BIG-IP load balancers, Cisco Email Security Appliances, and Forcepoint Secure Web Gateways. Responsibilities include implementing approved changes, troubleshooting connectivity and security issues, applying updates, maintaining configuration consistency, and preparing reports. The role also involves providing root cause analysis and assisting with system hardening and optimization.
Good To Have:
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on capability with CLI scripting and automation tools.
  • Knowledge of change management and ticket-handling processes according to ITIL v4.
  • Understanding of enterprise security policies and operational control procedures.
  • Ability to enforce configuration and access management compliance.
  • Skills in documenting changes and recording configuration baselines for audit readiness.
  • Awareness of regulatory requirements and best practices relevant to secure system administration.
Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of English (B2 or higher).
  • Active security clearance.
  • Minimum 5 years of strong administration experience with Check Point Security Gateway and Management (R81.x).
  • Minimum 5 years of strong administration experience with F5 BIG-IP (LTM, ASM, APM modules).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience reading and interpreting logs for incident diagnosis.
  • Proficiency in Check Point Security Gateway and Management (R81.x) MDS.
  • Proficiency in F5 BIG-IP (LTM, ASM, APM modules) configuration and management.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in network and security protocols (TCP/IP, SSL, TLS, HTTP/S, DNS).
  • Knowledge of change management and ticket-handling processes according to ITIL v4.
  • Familiarity with internal segmentation, high-availability configurations, and load distribution best practices.

Job Description

  • Manage daily operational activities including incident handling, configuration changes, and service request fulfilment mainly on Check Point firewalls, F5 BIG-IP load balancers, Cisco Email Security Appliances and Forcepoint Secure Web Gateways.
  • Implement approved changes following internal change management procedures, including documentation, validation, and rollback planning.
  • Support troubleshooting of connectivity, performance, and security control issues in collaboration with networking and application teams.
  • Apply recurring updates such as security policy modifications, SSL certificate renewals, virtual server configuration, and rule-base tuning.
  • Maintain configuration consistency with architecture standards and compliance requirements.
  • Prepare post-change reports and maintain change and incident records within client's ServiceNow ITSM tool.
  • Provide root cause analysis for recurring operational issues and propose corrective actions.
  • Assist in system hardening, performance optimization, and version upgrade preparation under supervision of the infrastructure architect.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree plus 9 years of relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge of English (B2 or higher)
  • Active security clearance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of strong administration experience with:

1. Check Point Security Gateway and Management (R81.x) including rule base maintenance and VPN configuration.

2. F5 BIG-IP (LTM, ASM, APM modules) including load balancing, SSL offloading, and traffic policy management.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with reading and interpreting logs from multiple sources to diagnose and close incidents effectively.
  • Proficiency in Check Point Security Gateway and Management (R81.x) MDS, including rule base maintenance and VPN configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in F5 BIG-IP (LTM, ASM, APM modules) configuration and management including load balancing, SSL offloading, and traffic policy management.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in network and security protocols (TCP/IP, SSL, TLS, HTTP/S, DNS).
  • Knowledge of change management and ticket-handling processes according to ITIL v4.
  • Familiarity with internal segmentation, high-availability configurations, and load distribution best practices.
