SHIFT TIMINGS - 3.30PM IST TO 12.30AM IST (Allowances are applicable)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to support our international accounting operations. This role will assist in financial reporting, compliance, and transactional accounting across multiple regions, including the UK, Czech Republic, Spain, India, and Singapore. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, a collaborative mindset, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Performance Objectives   

• Able to work extended hours as needed for month end close and for payment runs.
• Familiar with Outlook, nitro/pdf files, excel and word
• Ability to reconcile statements, understanding of past due balances and credit memos.
• Understanding of month end processes and urgency of month end.
• Not afraid to ask questions when assistance is needed.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision but understanding reporting to your supervisor for issues, time off, and technical issues is still mandatory.
• Must be organized within outlook and check emails daily.
• Must be comfortable reaching out to vendors over team calls and emails as needed. 
• Concur/Expense report knowledge is helpful.
• AP knowledge and understanding importance of having minimum errors and how to recognize past due balances, tax/VAT/GST, prepaids, PO invoices, duplicate invoices.
• Assist with monthly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Support the preparation of internal and external financial reports in compliance with U.S. GAAP and local statutory requirements.
• Perform reconciliations for payroll, VAT, intercompany transactions, and fixed assets.
• Process and review accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and responding to audit inquiries.
• Assist in maintaining and improving internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and automation of accounting workflows.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT and intercompany transfer pricing.
• Provide support for treasury operations, including bank reconciliations and payment processing.

Competitive Candidate Profile  

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
• 10 years of experience in accounting operations, preferably in a multinational or shared services environment.
• Advanced Excel skills are essential
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or Sage Intacct.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance.
• Experience with international accounting, intercompany transactions, and tax compliance is a plus.
