Job Summary
Match Group, a global leader in dating products, is seeking a Senior or Staff Accountant to join its Accounting team. This role will primarily focus on revenue-related journal entries and will be integral to the month-end close process, account reconciliations, and revenue operations. The position reports to an Accounting Manager and may expand to include general ledger responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with at least 7 years of accounting experience, including GL accounting, month-end close, and account reconciliations. Strong knowledge of US GAAP, experience with international entities and multi-currency transactions, exceptional analytical and organizational skills, and advanced Excel proficiency are required. Prior experience in revenue accounting, especially with advertising or subscription models, is highly valued.
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 7+ years of accounting experience
- Experience with GL accounting, month-end close, and reconciliations
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience with international entities and multi-currency transactions
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
- Prior experience in revenue accounting (advertising/subscription models)

Job Description
How you'll make an impact:
- Prepare journal entries related to direct revenue and advertising revenue for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations, including revenue-related accounts.
- Process invoices for advertising revenue customers and partnerships.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve billing variances to ensure accurate financial records.
- Act as a liaison with customers, Business Development, and other internal teams on customer billing matters.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting by preparing schedules, roll-forward reports, and ad hoc analyses.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and assist in documenting updated procedures and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal policies, SOX, and SEC regulations.
- Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits.
- Assist with special projects and additional general ledger accounting responsibilities as assigned.
