Vimeo is looking for a Sr. Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist to join their remote US-based team. This role involves managing an accounts receivable portfolio, focusing on timely collection of outstanding invoices for B2B transactions while maintaining positive customer relationships. The specialist will monitor accounts, contact clients via phone and email to resolve payment issues and negotiate payment plans, investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, and serve as a point of contact for billing inquiries. Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate records of collection activities, creating follow-up tasks, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with at least 2-3 years of B2B collections experience.

Job Details

Vimeo is seeking an experienced Sr. Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist to join our global collections team working remotely within the U.S. The Collections Specialist will manage their accounts receivable portfolio, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices for B2B transactions while maintaining positive relationships with Vimeo customers.The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B collections and exceptional communication and negotiation skills. This role will report directly to the Sr. Manager, Accounts Receivable & Collections.

What you’ll do:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to facilitate timely payments and address any concerns effectively.
  • Monitor and manage assigned customer accounts to ensure timely payment of invoices, reduce overdue balances, and achieve collection targets.
  • Proactively contact clients via phone and email to resolve payment issues and negotiate payment plans when necessary.
  • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes in a timely manner. Work closely with internal departments such as sales, billing, and customer service to address client concerns and ensure accurate invoicing.
  • Manage workload and complete assigned duties within given timelines
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to billing, payments, and account balances. Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Maintain accurate records of payment arrangements, and collection activities including status of account, all contact attempts and method of contact.
  • Create and maintain tasks to ensure timely follow up with customers regarding payment or promises to pay.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all collections activities.

Skills and knowledge you should possess:

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of collections experience, specifically in B2B transactions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional investigative skills, with the ability to provide sound judgement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective at working in a team environment while managing individual priorities and duties efficiently
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments, including sales, finance, and operations.
  • Basic knowledge of Google Suite (Google Sheets, Google Docs, Gmail, Google Meet)
  • Experience with Salesforce a plus
  • Experience with Zuora a plus

Base Salary Range:

  • NYC Metro, Bay Area, Seattle, & Los Angeles:    $59,000.00 - 81,500.00
  • All other US cities outside above metro areas:    $53,000.00 - $73,350.00
