The Senior Analyst, People Data & Reporting role is a key part of the HR Reporting Team, responsible for creating advanced reporting solutions, performing in-depth data analysis, and gathering business requirements for technical implementations. This position requires strong analytical abilities and hands-on Workday experience to provide accurate, actionable insights for data-driven decision-making across the organization. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining Workday reports and dashboards, collaborating with HR and Finance teams, managing EIB uploads, and supporting IT in system updates. The role also involves participating in design reviews, documenting processes, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality, and training end-users.

Sr. Analyst, People Data and Reporting Job Description

The Senior Analyst, People Data & Reporting role is an integral part of the P&O (HR) Reporting Team. This role is responsible for developing advanced reporting solutions, conducting comprehensive data analysis, and gathering business requirements for technical solutions. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with hands-on Workday expertise to deliver accurate, actionable insights that drive data-driven decision making across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain complex Workday reports on various HCM data sources, such as worker and business process events, using Report Writer, Calculated Fields, and Dashboards.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Finance teams to gather and understand reporting requirements. Present data in an easy-to-understand format, provide guidance to recipients, and troubleshoot any errors or issues.
  • Manage EIB (mass transactions) uploads to efficiently process mass changes, test and troubleshoot templates before production, analyze impacts, and work with other teams to ensure data accuracy.
  • Support IT team in testing and validation of system updates, configurations, and new functionality.

  • Participate in design reviews for Workday enhancements and provide data integrity recommendations.
  • Document data-related processes, report specifications, and validation procedures.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee information, maintain data governance, monitor data quality, and be a steward to implement corrective solutions as needed.
  • Be a trusted resource for the entire global P&O team with respect to data and system processes and procedures.
  • Participate in data related and other cross-functional projects and committees within the P&O department as required.
  • Train and provide guidance to end-users, junior analysts and report developers.
  • Develop automated reporting solutions to reduce manual processes and improve data accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business Analytics, Human Resources, Information Systems or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience with Workday HCM reporting and analytics with at least 2 years of EIB experience in mid-to-large organizations. Experience with Workday Prism is a plus.
  • Previous experience in HRIS systems administration, HR data operations, or business intelligence roles.

Key  Competencies/Skills

  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Knowledge of data privacy, confidentiality, security and compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of HR processes including recruiting, talent management, and compensation.
  • Proven track record of excellent follow-through on assignments; demonstrated commitment to getting tasks accomplished with minimal supervision.
  • Deep analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a strong sense of integrity, diplomacy, and professionalism with a customer-centric approach.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and collaborate across teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • A curiosity mindset with passion for continuous learning and proactive knowledge sharing across teams.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $90,000 to $112,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
