Job Description

The Senior Application Security role at NICE focuses on operationalizing the application security program across development teams. This involves ensuring effective implementation of security policies, processes, and tools, and driving the adoption of secure development practices. Key responsibilities include monitoring program execution, ensuring accountability for scanning and remediation, and coordinating with various teams to embed security activities into workflows. The role also supports vulnerability management, governance framework maturation, and training efforts, while staying informed on compliance requirements. This position reports to the Application Security Manager and is crucial for maintaining robust application security.
Must have:
  • Ensure development teams execute application security processes (e.g., code scanning, threat modeling, remediation tracking) as part of the SDLC.
  • Monitor and report on application security program performance.
  • Coordinate with development, DevOps, and product teams to ensure security activities are embedded in pipelines and workflows.
  • Assist in operationalizing application security tools (SAST, DAST, SCA).
  • Facilitate vulnerability management processes by tracking remediation progress and escalating risks when necessary.
  • Support the Application Security Manager in maturing governance frameworks, including policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Organize and coordinate training, awareness, and communication efforts related to secure development practices.
  • Stay informed on emerging regulations and compliance requirements impacting application security.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4-7 years of experience in application security or software development, or security program management.
  • Understanding of secure SDLC concepts and software development practices.
  • Familiarity with application security tools (SAST, DAST, SCA) and their integration into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with program tracking and reporting (e.g., dashboards, KPIs, compliance metrics).
  • Cloud Security knowledge and experience (AWS preferred).
Good to have:
  • Experience working in program or project management within a security or development context.
  • Familiarity with cloud application security and DevSecOps practices.
  • Certifications such as CSSLP, CISM, or Security+.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority, driving collaboration across teams.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset for tracking progress and identifying gaps in program execution.
