Job Summary
As a Senior Associate in PwC's Corporate Tax practice, you will advise Dutch multinationals on tax issues, focusing on real economy companies, family businesses, and private equity-held portfolios. You will act as a sparring partner, helping clients achieve their strategic goals, engage in discussions with the Tax Authorities, and collaborate with colleagues across PwC. This role involves independent client contact, identifying new opportunities, and mentoring team members.
Must Have
- Work on tax issues for international private companies (portfolio companies held by private equity or large family businesses)
- Handle cross-border business restructurings and business succession within families
- Address tax implications of acquisitions (interest deduction, transaction costs)
- Engage in discussions with the Tax Authorities
- Connect with colleagues from other disciplines
- Build long-term relationships with clients and relations
- Guide team members in their development
- Completed university degree in Tax Law or Fiscal Economics
- Minimum three years of relevant work experience
- Actively collaborate in a multidisciplinary and digital environment
- Excellent command of Dutch, both verbally and in writing
- Excellent command of English, both verbally and in writing

This is what you will do
As an advisor in our Corporate Tax Middle Markets practice, you work on tax issues for (operational) Dutch multinationals. We are the sparring partner for our clients and help our clients realize their strategy. Our clients are family businesses and companies held by private equity (portfolios). We also advise wealthy individuals (Quote 500) on, among other things, asset management, business succession, and emigrations. We are a national business unit, which means you can also work with many different people, but you do have a fixed team at your own office in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Eindhoven, or Groningen.
We expect you to play an independent role with our clients. You have contact yourself and look for opportunities to help clients further with our knowledge and experience. You have consultations/discussions with the Tax Authorities and collaborate with colleagues from other departments within PwC. You build your own network and look for new opportunities.
These are your main responsibilities:
- You work with colleagues on tax issues of international private companies, such as portfolio companies held by private equity or large family businesses that have most of their activities in the Netherlands;
- You are involved in (cross-border) business restructurings, business succession within families, and with the tax consequences of acquisitions (interest deduction, transaction costs, etc.) including consultations/discussions about this with the Tax Authorities;
- Connect with colleagues from other disciplines;
- Look for new opportunities with clients and relations and build long-term relationships with clients and relations;
- Guide people in the team in their development.
