Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Build & Release System Developer to join the Haven Entertainment Studios project team. This role involves operating and maintaining our build system, ensuring high reliability through observability and alerting best practices. The developer will also provide primary support to the game development team, assisting with important builds, investigating issues, and implementing new features as requested.
Must Have
- 5+ years operating a videogame CI/CD pipeline for a team of 200+ developers
- Experience with Jenkins CI/CD systems (Jenkins and/or TeamCity)
- Experience with Unreal Engine or other AAA game engine
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Rust, Java, Go, C# or Python
- Excellent knowledge of version control systems (Perforce and/or Git)
- Excellent customer service mindset and communication style
- Strong collaboration skills
Good to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS or Azure)
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code principles and tools (e.g., Terraform)
- Experience releasing AAA game titles on multiple platforms
- Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, SaltStack)
- Knowledge of web-based user interface technologies (React, Vue, etc)
- Bachelor degree in Information Technology or Computer Science
- Knowledge of deployment & packaging tools for common videogame platforms

Position
We are looking for an experienced Senior Build & Release System Developer to join the Haven Entertainment Studios project team. The Senior Build & Release System Developer will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of our build system that empowers Haven Game Studios game development. They will be in charge of maintaining high reliability of the system and all of its components using observability and alerting best practices. They will as well act as a primary support for the game development team, helping at landing important builds, investigating build issues and designing and implementing additional features requested by the development team.
Reporting
The Senior Build & Release System Developer will report to the team’s Technical Producer.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintain existing and develop new automated workflows to build, package and release game builds
- Maintain existing and develop new monitoring and alerting mechanisms
- Maintain existing game developer build dashboard with QoL improvements
- Support game production for their automation needs
- Monitor and fix build issues to maintain high reliability of the CI/CD pipeline
- Setup and maintain new on-premise build machines
- Optimize build iteration times and costs of operations
- Deliver and publish
