Job Summary

Kforce is seeking a Senior Business Analyst in Spring, TX, to provide technical support for production accounting and measurement platforms like ProCount, FLOWCAL, and CARTE. The role involves diagnosing system issues, managing data integrity, and ensuring accurate transfer of measurement data. Key responsibilities include configuring allocation networks, validating production data, and developing SQL-based reporting tools. The analyst will also build and maintain interfaces, automate workflows, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Collaboration with engineering and accounting teams, along with user training, are essential for this position.

Must Have

  • Deliver technical support for production accounting and measurement platforms (ProCount, FLOWCAL, CARTE).
  • Diagnose system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely transfer of measurement data from field devices to accounting systems.
  • Configure allocation networks and formulas; onboard new wells and facilities.
  • Validate production and allocation data for unconventional assets.
  • Develop and maintain SQL views, stored procedures, and scripts for reporting tools (Spotfire, Power BI).
  • Build and maintain interfaces between production accounting tools and ERP systems (SAP, P2R) or historians.
  • Automate workflows for allocations, balancing, and reporting.
  • Support regulatory and contractual reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of production accounting principles and measurement standards in unconventional oil and gas.
  • Proficiency in SQL, scripting (PowerShell), and data integration (Databricks, ADF).
  • Understanding of cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
  • 5+ years of supporting IT systems for oil & gas production.

Good to Have

  • Familiarity with SCADA systems, data historians, and field measurement devices.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with unconventional operations (shale, tight oil).
  • Strong knowledge of production accounting workflows: month-end close, NRIs, regulatory filings, partner reporting, allocations, and PPAs.

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Business Analyst in Spring, TX. Core Responsibilities: Application Support & Maintenance:

  • Deliver technical support for production accounting and measurement platforms such as ProCount, FLOWCAL, and CARTE
  • Assist offshore operations, engineering, and accounting teams with field data capture and analytics
  • Diagnose system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions or enhancements
  • Oversee upgrades, patches, and integration with upstream and midstream applications

Data Management & Integrity:

  • Ensure accurate, timely transfer of measurement data from field devices (meters, SCADA) into accounting systems
  • Configure allocation networks and formulas; Onboard new wells and facilities
  • Validate production and allocation data for unconventional assets, pads, and facilities
  • Apply data quality checks and reconciliation processes
  • Develop and maintain SQL views, stored procedures, and scripts for reporting tools (Spotfire, Power BI); create alerts for data integrity and variance monitoring

Integration & Automation:

  • Build and maintain interfaces between production accounting tools and ERP systems (SAP, P2R) or historians
  • Automate workflows for allocations, balancing, and reporting

Compliance & Standards:

  • Support regulatory and contractual reporting for agencies and royalty stakeholders
  • Recommend best practices for calculation-based allocations
  • Design solutions for daily/monthly close processes and reporting; Lead initiatives such as software upgrades, new allocation scenarios, and application testing

Collaboration & Training:

  • Partner with engineers, measurement analysts, and accounting teams to resolve data/system issues
  • Provide user training and documentation

Requirements

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of production accounting principles and measurement standards in unconventional oil and gas
  • Experience with industry tools such as IFS ProCount, CARTE, FLOWCAL, or similar
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems, data historians, and field measurement devices

IT Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL, scripting (PowerShell), and data integration (Databricks, ADF) techniques
  • Understanding of cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and API-based integrations

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Background:

  • 5+ years of supporting IT systems for oil & gas production
  • Familiarity with unconventional operations (shale, tight oil)
  • Strong knowledge of production accounting workflows: month-end close, NRIs, regulatory filings, partner reporting, allocations, and PPAs
