Job Summary

Join our Delivery Services team as a Senior Business Consultant, where you will grow your consulting skills with award-winning software solutions. Your primary goal is to contribute to project success by leveraging your specific software and industry experience and by mentoring other team members. You will provide industry and functional advice, troubleshoot issues during discovery workshops, design, implementation, testing, and production support of the Suite solution for client business needs. You will also present the Suite solution to clients, support technical consultants, and gather business requirements. A key aspect of this role involves demonstrating deep knowledge in Suite configuration and energy commodities, guiding other consultants, and adhering to implementation best practices and documentation standards.

Job Description

The Role:

The goal of the Senior Business Consultant is to contribute to the success of the project by providing specific software and industry experience while mentoring other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide industry and functional advice and troubleshooting in the discovery workshop, design, implementation, testing, and production support of the Suite solution for the client’s business needs
Present the Suite solution to client users
Support the deliverables of the Technical Consultants by providing business and functional guidance, review, testing, and validation of scripted solutions (reports, plugins, and interfaces) as directed by Product Manager
Consult with client users to determine business requirements and work processes to be addressed by one or more areas of the Suite solution
Demonstrate deep knowledge in one or more areas of Suite configuration and in one or more energy commodities
Provide guidance to Business Consultants in one or more functional areas of the Suite solution
Assist with delivery services best practices as directed by Line Manager
Assume hands-on project implementation duties in all phases of the Suite implementation, reporting to the Project Manager
Gather and document business requirements, configuration designs, test plans/results, and any other deliverables required by the project as determined by the Project Manager and Lead Business Consultant
Keep Line Manager and Project Manager(s) informed regarding the status of assigned responsibilities
Adhere to implementation best practices in one or more functional areas of the ION solution in all functional design, specifications, custom coding, unit testing, and other deliverables
Follow ION documentation standards and resolution process flow for all deliverables
Maintain full chargeability on client account(s) as assigned

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

Treasury experience required
Previous experience with Treasury Management Systems preferred.
Experience preferred with one of more of the following areas:
Front Office/Risk Skills: Experience with Financial Instruments which includes Foreign Exchanges, Interest Rate derivatives, Loans, Bonds, Capital markets and equities. Experience with Valuations, Counterparty risk, Scenario analysis, Value at risk.
Back Office Skills: Experience with Settlements, Messaging, Confirmations, Regulatory reporting.
Cash and Liquidity Skills: Understanding of Cash management, Pooling & sweeping, Cash forecasting, Bank Account Management (Account inventory, Signatory management, Bank fee analysis).
Accounting -Experience with Treasury accounting, Hedge accounting.
Bachelor's degree in one of the following: Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Economics, or a related IT field or equivalent experience in a related field.
Ability to work as part of a project team structure.
Ability to work onsite at client locations.
Strong client-facing skills
Good interpersonal skills
Good written and oral communication skills
