We are seeking an innovative, results-driven Senior Business Development Manager for Korea with exceptional communication skills to join our Korea team. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, focusing on building strategic partnerships, identifying growth opportunities, and driving business success within the gaming industry. Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and analytical abilities are crucial, along with experience in business development, sales, or the gaming sector. This role requires managing multiple priorities, navigating complex deals, and adapting to industry trends. You will be responsible for identifying and developing strategic business opportunities, cultivating relationships with key decision-makers, driving revenue growth, and acting as a primary liaison for partners. Your duties will also include leading negotiations, collaborating with internal teams, analyzing market trends, and representing Xsolla at industry events.
Must Have
- 8-10 years in business development or strategic partnerships
- 5+ years in payments and/or gaming industry
- Proven track record with Korean game studios/publishers
- Deep understanding of Korean digital payments and monetization
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills
- Fluent in Korean and English
- Passion for gaming and digital commerce
- Willingness to travel (up to 30%)

Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, develop, and lead strategic business opportunities with game developers, publishers, and payment partners in Korea.
- Cultivate and manage strong relationships with key decision-makers at top-tier game studios and publishers.
- Drive revenue growth and expand Xsolla’s footprint in the Korean market through tailored solutions and strategic partnerships.
- Act as a primary liaison for partners, delivering consultative support and leveraging Xsolla’s ecosystem to solve client challenges.
- Lead negotiations for high-value deals, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams including Product, Legal, Finance, and Marketing to ensure seamless execution of partner strategies.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and partner performance to refine growth strategies and identify new opportunities.
- Represent Xsolla at major industry events, conferences, and networking forums in Korea and APAC.
- Articulate and evangelize Xsolla’s value proposition to a wide range of stakeholders, from C-level executives to technical counterparts.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to building a high-performance BD culture within the APAC region.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.8–10 years of experience in business development or strategic partnerships, with at least 5+ years in the payments and/or gaming industry.
- Proven track record of working with and influencing senior decision-makers at Korean game studios and publishers.
- Deep understanding of digital payments, local market dynamics, and monetization strategies in Korea.
- Strong industry network across gaming and fintech ecosystems.
- Excellent negotiation skills and experience closing complex, high-value deals.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills in both Korean and English.
- Strong organizational capabilities and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Passion for gaming, digital commerce, and innovative technologies.
- Willingness to travel within Korea and internationally (up to 30%).
- Preferred:
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Salesforce, Jira, Confluence, and other CRM or project management platforms.
- Familiarity with cross-border payment infrastructure and compliance frameworks.
- Experience in high-growth or start-up environments, preferably with a global focus.
- Ability to define KPIs and use data to drive decision-making and business performance.
