SimCorp is seeking a highly skilled Senior CI/CD & DevOps Engineer to join their Pipeline team. The role focuses on enhancing developer productivity and infrastructure maturity through automation, streamlined workflows, and platform stability. The engineer will enable teams to operate proficiently, ensuring SimCorp's hosted environments on cloud platforms like Azure are secure, reliable, and efficient. This position involves designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or TeamCity), automating infrastructure provisioning and deployment using tools like Terraform/OpenTofu, ARM, and Bicep, and maturing Azure-based solutions. Collaboration with engineers on DevOps best practices, code reviews, test automation, and addressing infrastructure issues are key responsibilities. The role also promotes knowledge sharing and explores emerging technologies for platform efficiency and developer experience improvement.
Must have:
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or TeamCity)
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment (Terraform/OpenTofu, ARM, Bicep)
  • Mature and automate Azure-based solutions
  • Collaborate with engineers on DevOps best practices
  • Contribute to code reviews, test automation, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • Address infrastructure issues in production and development
  • Promote knowledge sharing and a DevOps culture
  • Explore emerging technologies for platform efficiency
  • Deep expertise in CI tools (GitHub Actions, TeamCity)
  • Expertise in PowerShell scripting
  • Azure cloud proficiency (AAD, DNS, Networking)
  • Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform, OpenTofu, ARM, Bicep)
  • Containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) experience
  • Understanding of security best practices in cloud and CI/CD
Good to have:
  • Bash, Python, or JavaScript scripting
  • Kotlin or .NET experience
  • SonarQube or other static code analysis tools
  • Monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana)
  • AI integration into developer workflows or pipelines
  • Developer-first mindset
  • Experience with monolithic and modern codebases (e.g., C#)
  • Proficient problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  • Self-management, initiative, and continuous improvement drive

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CI/CD & DevOps Engineer to join our Pipeline team. This role is pivotal in enhancing developer productivity and infrastructure maturity through automation, streamlined workflows, and platform stability. You will enable engineering teams to operate proficiently while ensuring SimCorp’s hosted environments operate securely, reliably, and efficiently on cloud platforms like Azure. You will be working alongside a team of highly skilled, motivated, and forward-thinking technologists who thrive on collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or TeamCity preferred).

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment using tools like Terraform/OpenTofu, ARM, and Bicep.

  • Mature and automate Azure-based solutions, ensuring maintainability and performance.

  • Collaborate with engineers to refine and implement DevOps best practices.

  • Consistently contribute to code reviews, test automation, sprint planning, and team retrospectives.

  • Address and assist with issues related to infrastructure in both production and development settings.

  • Promote knowledge sharing and cultivate a DevOps culture within the team.

  • Explore and adopt emerging technologies to improve platform efficiency and developer experience.

TECHNICAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Essential:

  • Deep expertise in GitHub Actions or TeamCity or any other CI tool.

  • Expertise in PowerShell scripting skills.

  • Azure cloud proficiency, including AAD, DNS, Networking, and resource management.

  • Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, OpenTofu, ARM templates, or Bicep).

  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).

  • Understanding of security best practices in cloud and CI/CD environments.

Desirable:

  • Bash, Python, or JavaScript scripting.

  • Kotlin or .NET experience.

  • SonarQube or other static code analysis tools.

  • Monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana.

  • AI integration into developer workflows or pipelines.
