Job Description

This role is crucial for supporting SimCorp's global travel activities, ensuring employee safety, user-friendly solutions, and cost management. The Travel Manager will maintain and adapt SimCorp’s travel platform, execute vendor governance with travel agencies, animate the travel community, and support sustainability and financial targets. Additionally, the role involves assisting Event Managers with vendor selection, contract negotiation for events and marketing, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.

Must Have:
  • Supporting corporate travel activities across 40 office locations
  • Maintaining and adapting SimCorp’s travel platform
  • Executing Vendor Governance with the travel agency
  • Managing and updating the corporate Travel Policy and ensuring compliance
  • Assisting Event Managers in vendor selection and contract negotiation for events
  • Managing contracts (renewals, renegotiations, follow-up) in close collaboration with stakeholders
  • Analyzing business processes to identify and realize optimizations and savings
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as Travel Manager
  • Experience managing booking platforms and travel agencies
  • Experience negotiating hotel and event agreements
  • Excellent analytical and fluent English language skills

A strong organization is therefore required to support travel activities in order to manage our employee’s safety, provide user friendly and effective solutions as well as manage related costs.

Furthermore, the role ensures that our Event Managers and other colleagues in Group Marketing and Communications are supported in their work with vendors.

The position is organized under Group Procurement where you will become one of a team of 20 working out of Copenhagen, Warsaw and Manila. We have very strong collaboration both in our day-to-day activities and in wider projects, and are recognized throughout the organization for our skills, service mindedness and results.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Travel:

  • Supporting corporate travel in the broadest sense and with the following volumes (Annual spend of 10 m€, c.40 office locations, 15,000 transactions p.a.; 12 local and regional Travel Managers in EMEA, APAC and North America).
  • Maintain and continuously adapt our travel platform, including addition of new entities and administrating travel rules
  • Execute Vendor Governance with the travel agency
  • Animate the Travel community and process relevant information to travelers
  • Support with analytics and insights to ensure we are appropriately steered towards our ambitious sustainability and financial targets
  • Manage and update the corporate Travel Policy and ensure compliance
  • Ensure validity and competitiveness of selected hotels and airlines

Events and MarCom support:

  • Assist Event Managers and other relevant staff in vendor selection and contract negotiation
  • Larger events, conferences and meetings
  • Services related to Group Marketing and Communication
  • Ensure awareness and compliance with the Procurement Policy
  • Manage contracts (renewals, renegotiations, follow-up…) in close collaboration with stakeholders
  • Develop and execute planning, vendor segmentation and governance for the category
  • Analyzing business processes, identify and realize possible optimizations, drive savings and remove redundancies

WHAT WE VALUE

  • A relevant Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as Travel Manager
  • Managing booking platforms and travel agencies
  • Negotiating hotel and event agreements
  • General knowledge about and interest in procurement
  • Insights from similar positions as Category Manager for Marketing/Communication and/or Travel
  • Being structured, self-starting and with drive
  • Good IT understanding
  • Excellent analytical and language skills (fluent English)
  • Taking ownership and initiatives, challenge and propose in coherence with Team
