Job Summary
Join SimCorp, a FinTech leader, as a Lead or Principal Business Consultant in Accounting & Operations (IBOR). This role is crucial for streamlining investment decisions, accounting, and operations for global financial institutions. You will enhance implementation expertise, work full-time on projects, provide specialized advice, and deliver functional solutions using SimCorp Dimension®. Responsibilities include overseeing workstreams, facilitating workshops, documenting requirements, providing training, and mentoring colleagues, all while contributing to best practices.
Must Have
- Oversee business-related workstreams in implementation projects
- Act as project leader for small and mid-sized SimCorp Dimension® projects
- Facilitate requirements gathering workshops and trainings
- Document client requirements and map to SimCorp Dimension® functions
- Provide configuration and end-user training
- Serve as key contact for customers regarding SimCorp Dimension®
- Instruct and mentor less experienced colleagues
- Identify opportunities for tailored services
- Contribute to improving best practices for implementation processes
- Degree/master's in Finance, Economics, or Accounting
- Very good know-how in at least four of: Trade processing, Swift messages, Corporate action processing, Collateral processing, Reconciliation, Valuation, Data Import and Export
- Broad asset classes coverage (listed, derivatives, credits/mortgages, illiquid)
- Proficiency in English
- SimCorp Dimension® experience or familiarity with implementing and configuring financial software
- Highly developed sense of ownership and accountability
- Flexible for travel across APAC

At SimCorp, we facilitate the streamlining of investment decisions, accounting, and operations for major global financial institutions. As a Lead Business Consultant, you will be responsible for improving implementation expertise and enhancing the knowledge of IBOR consultants in our market unit and beyond.
You will normally be working full-time on implementation projects, which require your expertise in the IBOR area. Lead Business Consultants are highly skilled professionals who form part of our Professional Services team, working within Consulting Services and based within the market units. The main purpose of the role is to provide specialized advice and functional delivery in the successful deployment of SimCorp Dimension® within a client’s environment.
What you will be responsible for
Your responsibilities include but will not be limited to:
- Oversee one or more business-related workstreams in the implementation project, ensuring all necessary tasks, dependencies, and resource/time evaluations are identified, and providing status updates to the Project Manager for integration into the overall project plan
- Can act as project leader for small and mid-sized SimCorp Dimension® projects
- Facilitate requirements gathering workshop and trainings at new or existing clients in business-related areas and domains
- Document client requirements and map to SimCorp Dimension® functions and processes, identifying improvements and efficiencies where possible. Possess understanding of basic project planning
- Responsible for providing configuration and end-user training, allowing the client to maintain SimCorp Dimension® and optimize its usage
- Key contact for our customers for questions in connection with SimCorp Dimension®
- Instruct and mentor less experienced colleagues on the job
- Identify opportunities to offer tailored services beyond the project scope to our customers in your role as a trusted advisor
- Contribute to improving best practices for implementation processes and promote topics across projects

As our preferred candidate, you will have:
- Degree/master's within Finance, Economics, Accounting.
- Very good know-how in at least four of the following areas:
- Trade processing (incl. settlement),
- Swift messages
- Corporate action processing
- Collateral processing
- Reconciliation
- Valuation
- Data Import and Export (SimCorp Dimension® Data Format Setup & Data Extractor)
- Broad asset classes coverage (listed, derivatives, credits/mortgages, illiquid)
- Constantly willing to expand your knowledge of SimCorp Dimension® and the clients’ businesses in order to ensure that clients get the optimal configuration and workflow.
- Demonstrate a commitment to results, creativity, and a broad worldview.
- Have effective communication skills and proficiency in English.
- You have SimCorp Dimension® experience or are familiar with implementing and configuring financial software
- Highly developed sense of ownership and accountability
- Flexible for travel as we operate as an APAC organization.
