WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

As part of Group IT, we are on a transformation journey to industrialize IT and help the rest of the organization to mature processes and efficiency. Group IT consists of around 90 skilled and motivated colleagues around the globe.

We are looking for an experienced Workday Application Specialist to help maintain and enhance our Workday platform. In SimCorp, we use a broad set of Workday modules across HCM and Finance. Based in Manila, you will be part of the IT ERP team. The team comprises 12 colleagues with various roles, including a Platform Architect, Business Analysts, and Functional Consultants.

You will report to the Head of ERP Systems, Director, based in Copenhagen, Denmark.

As a Workday Application Specialist, you will play a key role in evolving and optimizing our Workday platform across multiple functional areas. Your responsibilities will span:

• Integration Support & Development: Maintain, enhance, and build new integrations to and from Workday, ensuring seamless data flow and operational efficiency.
• Security & Role Management: Execute changes to system roles, including updates to security domains and business process policies.
• Audit & Compliance: Support internal and external audit requests by executing relevant system tasks and ensuring compliance readiness.
• Feature Configuration: Configure and deploy AI-driven features and user interface enhancements across Workday modules to improve user experience and automation.
• Innovation & Optimization: Аctіvеlу contribute to our innovation process by proposing new ideas and features that make our Workday platform smarter and more efficient.
• Release Management: Participate in bi-yearly Workday releases, ensuring smooth adoption of new functionalities and system updates.
• Support & Lifecycle Ownership: Provide third-level support and manage the full development lifecycle—from requirement gathering and solution design to implementation and production deployment.

This involves using Workday to standardize, simplify, centralize, and automate processes and ensure efficient operational processes around the Workday application. Your working hours will align with the EMEA time zone. It is expected that you will be present in our Manila office for two days a week.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

• Support, enhance, and develop Workday integrations using tools such as EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, and Workday Studio—while ensuring stability and scalability.
• Manage system roles, security domains, and business process policies to maintain a secure and well-governed Workday environment.
• Execute tasks related to internal and external audit requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
• Configure AI-driven features and user interface enhancements across Workday modules to improve usability and automation.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders (HR, Finance, IT) and external vendors to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Maintain clear documentation of configurations, integration designs, and support procedures to ensure transparency and continuity.
• Participate in Workday release cycles by assessing the impact of new features and ensuring smooth adoption across the platform.
• Contribute to our innovation process by proposing new ideas and implementing backlog items, change requests, and enhancements that optimize platform performance.
• Adhere to IT principles and prоаctіvеlу suggest future changes that align with strategic goals.

WHAT WE VALUE

To suссееd in this role, we believe that you possess the following qualifications:

• Hаnds-оn experience with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Web Services (SOAP/REST)
• Strоng understanding of XML, XSLT, JSON, and REST/SOAP APIs
• Familiarity with Workday security domains, role configurations, and business process policies, with the ability to implement changes aligned with governance standards.
• Experience executing tasks related to internal and external audit requests, ensuring compliance and traceability.
• Exposure to configuring AI-driven features, user interface enhancements, and contributing to platform optimization through innovation initiatives.
• Prеfеrаbly Workday Pro certified
• Familiarity with Workday HCM, Financials, or other modules іs а plus
• Excеllеnt collaboration and communication skills in English, bridging IT and business stakeholders
• Ability to prioritize tasks, to ensure deadlines are аchіеvеd
• Working knowledge of Agile (Kanban) methodologies is considered an advantage
• You have a sense of humor
