Job Summary
Experian is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer with an AWS focus to design and implement modern, cloud-native, and AI-enabled solutions. This role involves hands-on cloud engineering and solution architecture, collaborating with senior architects to build secure, scalable, and resilient systems using AWS technologies. The engineer will contribute to the UKI future state architecture, integrate AI/LLMs, maintain IaC and CI/CD pipelines, and support troubleshooting, while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
Must Have
- 2-4 years experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or software development with solution design exposure.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, RDS).
- Proficiency in Python, C#, or Java.
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes or ECS.
- Experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Understanding of CI/CD practices and tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CodePipeline).
- Exposure to AI/ML technologies.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to design and implement cloud solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
- Support development of UKI future state architecture.
- Implement AWS services following best practices.
- Apply microservices, serverless, and DDD principles.
- Maintain and enhance IaC templates and CI/CD pipelines.
Good to Have
- Awareness of architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).

You will combine hands-on cloud engineering with solution architecture responsibilities to design and implement modern, cloud-native, and AI-enabled solutions. You will work closely with senior architects and engineering teams to build secure, scalable, and resilient systems using AWS technologies. This position offers a unique opportunity to deepen your technical expertise while gaining exposure to enterprise-scale architecture and strategic design.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architects to design and implement cloud solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
- Participate in solution design discussions, providing input on feasibility, performance, and scalability.
- Support the development and rollout of the UKI future state architecture by building reusable components and automation scripts.
- Implement AWS-based services and infrastructure following best practices for security, cost-efficiency, and resilience.
- Apply principles of microservices, serverless computing, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) in solution implementation.
- Assist in integrating AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) into cloud-native applications.
- Maintain and enhance Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates and CI/CD pipelines.
- Contribute to architectural documentation, including blueprints, deployment guides, and operational runbooks.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and share insights with the broader team.
- Support troubleshooting and performance tuning of cloud-based systems.
- Work closely with global teams to ensure architectural alignment and promote reuse of patterns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–4 years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or software development roles, with exposure to solution design.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, and RDS.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, C#, or Java).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes or ECS).
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Understanding of CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CodePipeline).
- Exposure to AI/ML technologies and interest in integrating them into cloud solutions.
- Awareness of architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and Agile methodologies is a plus.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
