Service Automation Engineer (Splunk/Geneos)

Our Client, a leading bank in Asia, is seeking a Service Automation Engineer to implement, configure, and maintain Splunk & ITRS Geneos monitoring solutions. The role involves developing automation scripts using Python and Shell, optimizing Geneos Gateway dashboards, ensuring proactive system monitoring, and collaborating with teams to integrate solutions. The engineer will also troubleshoot issues, prepare performance reports, and suggest improvements for system reliability.

Must Have

• Implement, configure, and maintain Splunk & ITRS Geneos monitoring solutions
• Develop automation scripts using Python and Shell to improve monitoring workflows
• Configure and optimize Geneos Gateway dashboards & alerts
• Ensure proactive system monitoring and performance issue detection
• Collaborate with other teams to integrate monitoring solutions across platforms
• Troubleshoot and resolve monitoring-related issues
• Prepare reports and dashboards for performance insights
• Suggest improvements for monitoring automation and system reliability
• 3-5 years of experience in monitoring & performance tools
• Experience with Splunk
• ITRS Geneos Gateway Configuration experience
• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux OS
• Python & Shell scripting for automation

Good to Have

• Knowledge of DevOps practices
• Familiarity with ITIL process & incident management
• Experience working in banking/financial domain (optional)

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. They work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Malaysia and overseas branches.

The client has more than 80 years of history in the banking industry and is expanding its footprint in Malaysia.

The selected resource will be working in a newly setup technology centre located in Kuala Lumpur as part of Technology and Operations to deliver innovative financial technology solutions that enable business growth and technology transformation.
