Job Summary
Philips is seeking a Senior Software Developer in Blumenau, Brazil, to join their health technology team. The role involves performing code reviews, participating in technical discussions, implementing best practices, ensuring software quality through testing, and mentoring junior teammates. Candidates should have a Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, advanced English, and experience with C#, .NET, SQL, Agile, Azure DevOps, and client-server applications, preferably in a medical context.
Must Have
- Perform code reviews and maintain development quality standards.
- Participate in technical discussions for high-quality, high-performance software.
- Implement and encourage best technical practices.
- Ensure high software quality through unit tests and automation.
- Provide coaching and technical guidance to junior teammates.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science.
- Advanced English proficiency for daily interaction.
- Understanding of server/client base application and environment.
- Experience with highly critical real-time large-scale distributed client-server applications.
- Experience with Windows applications, C#, and .NET.
- Experience with CITRIX and Terminal Servers.
- Proficiency in SQL - Structured Query Language.
- Experience with Agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
- Experience with Azure DevOps.
Good to Have
- Experience implementing corporate network solutions in the healthcare sector.
Job Description
Your role:
- Perform code review to the team to ensure that development quality standards are maintained and that the resulting codes are of great functionality;
- Participate in technical discussions to create high-quality, high-performance software;
- Implement and encourage best technical practices;
- Ensuring a high level of software quality by following standards, writing unit tests and automating as many tests as possible before delivery;
- Provide coaching and technical guidance to junior teammates
You're the right fit if:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science
- Advanced English - daily interaction with USA team
- Understanding of server/client base application and environment.
- Experience with highly critical real-time large-scale distributed client-server applications (preferably medical).
- Experience with Windows applications
- C# and .NET experience
- Experience with CITRIX and Terminal Servers.
- Experience with SQL - Structured Query Language;
- Experience with Agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban and/or SAFe);
- Experience with Azure DevOps (former TFS - Team Foundation Server);
- Experience implementing corporate network solutions in the healthcare sector will be considered a plus.
