Senior Concept Artist, Character - Unpublished R&D Product

As a Character Concept Artist at Riot you will bring characters and creatures to life. Drawing inspiration from as little as a napkin sketch or as much as a full-blown narrative concept, you will generate ideas and craft designs that are resonant, compelling and iconic. As a problem solver, first and foremost, you will help come up with visual solutions for game concepts

As a Senior Concept Artist on the Riot Discovery Studio team, you’ll work on a brand new unpublished AAA game. You’ll partner with the Art Lead as you work across disciplines to help build exciting cosmetic ideas and character skin concepts. You will also work collaboratively with designers, writers, and producers to bring existing characters into new imaginative spaces.

Responsibilities:

• Ideate and create highly varied character skin concepts
• Express character and theme through your designs
• Explore creative solutions to establish a unique and interesting thematic for the characters in the game.
• Craft detailed concept art for 3D artists
• Work with game designers to understand and fulfill the needs of gameplay
• Collaborate with the other artists on the team by providing and receiving creative/team feedback and providing clear creative goals and outcomes to your team

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience working in concept art
• 5+ years of professional experience working in Photoshop or equivalent software

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience working on cosmetic pipelines for live service game operations
• Experience shipping at least one game title
• Experience working with various game engines from licensed to proprietary
