You will join the Ubisoft Data Office – Domain Enabling to contribute to AI innovation initiatives. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures that enable AI and machine learning models to operate efficiently. This role bridges traditional data engineering with AI-specific needs, ensuring high-quality, timely, and secure data delivery for advanced analytics and AI applications.

Must Have

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for AI/ML models.
  • Ensure data integrity, privacy, and security.
  • Optimize complex data pipelines using SQL, Python, PySpark.
  • Work with Cloud environments like Snowflake and Databricks.
  • Implement DataOps/DevOps practices including Git, CI/CD, monitoring.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in AI projects.

Good to Have

  • Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and vector databases.
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and emerging technologies.

Job Description

You will join the Ubisoft Data Office – Domain Enabling to contribute to AI innovation initiatives. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures that enable AI and machine learning models to operate efficiently. This role bridges traditional data engineering with AI-specific needs, ensuring high-quality, timely, and secure data delivery for advanced analytics and AI applications.

Your missions

  • Identify and qualify relevant data within an AI innovation framework by interacting with UDO domains and the AI innovation team.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize complex data pipelines (structured or unstructured source data).
  • Implement rigorous validations, cleanups, and controls to ensure data integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards.
  • Analyze AI-generated data, as well as metadata, to understand usage and needs and adapt accordingly.
  • Demonstrate innovation in proposed solutions to build growing use cases with their level of maturity.

Qualifications

Relevant experience

  • Strong analytical and autonomous problem-solving skills.
  • Building data pipelines (SQL, Python, PySpark) in a Cloud environment (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks) with scalable, maintainable, and reusable code.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and vector databases for model-centric workflows.
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and emerging technologies.

Skills & knowledge

  • Excellent command of SQL, Python, and PySpark.
  • Snowflake and/or Databricks ecosystems (cloud data).
  • Airflow or equivalent for orchestration.
  • DataOps/DevOps: Git, CI/CD, monitoring/observability, testing.
  • Data quality & rigorous documentation.
  • Experience in AI projects.
