Senior Devops Engineer

Bazaarvoice is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for its Content & Creators team to build and scale infrastructure for apps used by millions of consumers worldwide. This role involves designing, building, and shipping systems, providing robust CI/CD pipelines, creating developer tooling, and ensuring infrastructure performance, stability, scalability, and security. The engineer will also participate in on-call rotations and assist with infrastructure planning and cost management, contributing to a culture of efficient software operation.

Must Have

• Design, build, and ship systems and infrastructure for Bazaarvoice Content & Creators products.
• Provide reliable, robust, and fast CI/CD pipelines.
• Create tooling to improve developer experience.
• Develop and test disaster recovery scenarios.
• Assist with infrastructure planning, implementation and cost management.
• Continuously monitor and improve our infrastructure for performance, stability, scalability, and security.
• Implement security best practices, from OS-level patches to internal processes.
• Participate in the on-call engineering rotation.
• 5+ years experience in a software engineering or DevOps role.
• 2+ years experience supporting high-availability systems on GCP.
• Experience building or supporting services in a service-oriented architecture.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform experience preferred).
• Experience in data streaming and messaging middlewares (GCP pub/sub, Kafka, Kinesis, SQS/SNS, etc.) and Elastic Search clusters.
• Experience creating and managing a CI/CD pipeline (preferably as code), with continuous integration (e.g. Jenkins, Github Actions etc) and version control (Git).
• Experience deploying containerized applications (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker), load and/or performance testing.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as ELK stack, Grafana.
• Experience in agile methodologies.
• Experience managing databases (one of the 3 - Mongodb, Cassandra, Redis, BigQuery etc).

Bazaarvoice is looking for a seasoned DevOps engineer to join us in building the future of product discovery. As part of the Content & Creators team, you’ll build and scale the infrastructure that powers apps used by millions of consumers worldwide.

How you’ll make an impact:

The must have skills that matter:

• 5+ years experience in a software engineering or DevOps role and 2+ years experience supporting high-availability systems on GCP (additional AWS experience is good to have).
• Experience building or supporting services in a service-oriented architecture.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform experience preferred).
• Experience in data streaming and messaging middlewares (GCP pub/sub, Kafka, Kinesis, SQS/SNS, etc.) and Elastic Search clusters.
