Senior/Lead DevOps Engineer

This role involves a modernization project for a large insurance client's core business systems. Key activities include supporting Kubernetes-based applications, decoupling monoliths into microservices, and migrating to modern tech stacks. Responsibilities encompass developing Kubernetes platforms, designing CI/CD pipelines, automating SDLC operations, supporting various teams, managing Azure infrastructure with IaC, and troubleshooting applications and infrastructure.

Must Have

• Develop existing Kubernetes platform for containerized applications
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines
• Automate routine operations throughout SDLC
• Support development, QA and external teams on infrastructure
• Manage Azure infrastructure using IaC tools
• Troubleshoot applications and underlying infrastructure
• Production experience with Kubernetes
• Hands-on production experience with Azure services (AKS, APIM, App Services, Azure Cache for Redis, Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks)
• Experience administering Microsoft Entra ID
• Fluent knowledge of Kubernetes workload types, Helm, CRDs
• Solid Cloud knowledge including compute resources and networking
• Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Azure Monitor
• Proficiency with Docker containers
• Ability to write scripts in Bash for operations automation
• Experience with Jenkins pipelines and shared libraries
• Upper-intermediate English communication skills

Must have

• Production experience with Kubernetes
• 1+ year of DevOps lead experience
• 3+ years of hands-on production experience with Azure services: AKS, APIM, App Services, Azure Cache for Redis, Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks. Experience with administering Microsoft Entra ID
• Fluent knowledge of Kubernetes workload types, Helm, CRDs
• Solid Cloud knowledge compute resources (VM, VMSS), networking
• Monitoring Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Azure Monitor
• Working with Docker containers (Prepare, Build, Run)
• Scripting languages (mostly Bash) ability to write scripts for operations automation
• Jenkins pipelines, shared libraries
• Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving mindset
