We are seeking a Support Engineer with experience in shopfloor and field support, to be based at a customer location in Santa Catarina, Monterrey, Mexico. The role involves providing hardware and software support for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) on the production floor, ensuring business continuity and minimizing IT-related losses. Responsibilities include supporting various hardware like desktops, printers, RF guns, scanners, and label applicators, as well as MES software. The engineer will also be responsible for the configuration, installation, and testing of MES hardware for new production lines and workstations, ensuring operational continuity by covering one of three shifts. Additionally, the role entails performing annual preventive maintenance, supporting physical inventories, equipment patching, weekend project testing, and providing training to production line workers.
Must have:
- Shopfloor support experience
- Field support experience
- Hardware support (desktops, printers, RF guns)
- Software support (MES systems)
- Windows 10 management
- Office 365
- Basic SQL queries
- English skills (Beginner Intermediate)
- Availability for shifts and overtime
- Excellent Service Attitude
Good to have:
- Experience with specific hardware (Zebra, SATO, Motorola, Intermec, Cognex)
- Interaction with OPC SW
- Knowledge of PLC interaction via OPC
- Knowledge of Vision Cameras

Job Details
Support Engineer
- We are looking for a candidate with Shopfloor support Field support experience to work from customer location in Santa Catarina Monterrey Mexico
- Provide Hardware and Software support in the manufacturing areas production floor which use the MES Manufacturing Execution System platform helping to ensure Business Continuity in the Mexico plants and seeking to reduce units lost due to IT matters
- Provide Hardware Support Desktops Mfg Printers BC Printers RF Guns Scanners Handheld Fix Printer Applicators and Software on demand for the production lines and in the manufacturing area which use MES systems
- Configuration installation and testing of the required Hardware MES equipment which will be used in strategic projects of new production lines or workstations
- Provide support to CMX factory having the availability to cover one of 3 shifts ensuring the operational continuity of the production and manufacturing area fulfilling the onsite support in a timely manner
- Ensure the execution of the annual preventive maintenance of the existing MES hardware provide support for annual Physical Inventories Equipment patches and Tests for any project implemented on weekends provide training for the production lines workers
- Experience in Hardware equipment such as Desktops Thermal printers Zebra SATO BC Printers Zebra RF Guns Motorola Intermec Scanners Handheld and Fixed Cognex Printer Label Applicators Vision Cameras COGNEX desirable Interaction with OPC SW desirable 3 Windows 10 management 2 Office 2010 onwards office 365 2 Basic SQL queries
- Desirable knowledge of interaction with PLC through OPC systems and Vision Cameras as well
- English Skills Beginner Intermediate
- Preferably own car or without mobility problems
- Availability to work shifts Day afternoon and Night weekends under demand for some project

- Must be flexible to work in shifts and overtime hour support when required
