Job Summary
Wind River is seeking a curious and collaborative Senior Engineer - Technical Support to join their team. This role focuses on supporting customers using Wind River Systems products, including AI/ML suites, for developing cutting-edge IoT and embedded system devices. The engineer will debug and resolve customer issues, understand customer needs, manage product configurations, and engage with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include contributing to knowledge bases, documenting problems, and potentially participating in after-hours support. Must Have
- 4-6 years experience in development and production operations
- 2-4 years customer-facing role experience
- Experience with Azure or Amazon AWS or similar SaaS solutions
- Experience in C/C++ and shell/Python scripting
- Familiarity with DevOps CI/CD, Dockers, Kubernetes
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Self-managed and fast learner

- Understanding of Cloud vs. on-premise computing
- Experience in virtualization/containerization (KVM, docker, containerd)
- Experience with Xen-based virtualization and Linux systems
- Experience with Kubernetes, OpenStack, Helm, microservices
- Experience in YAML, Gitlab, Jenkins or Tekton

- Debug and resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Establish a deep understanding of customer needs for your area and leverage those insights to provide outstanding solutions.
- Manage ongoing bugs/incidents, system configuration and testing for Wind River products.
- Engage in internal and customer facing meetings.
- Work with cross functional teams to improve Wind River support processes.
- Proactively contribute content to the various Knowledge Bases within Wind River
- Document Problems for Knowledge Base so that customers may solve similar problems on their own in the future.
- Be available for after-hours duties in case if there is need for 24/7/365 coverage.
- CSAT, NPS, CES SLA compliance.
- Achievement of Objective and Key Results (OKRs) as set by management.
- Review of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Educational Requirements :Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science, Math, Data Science, Physics, or related technical field.
- Experience/ Competencies: 4-6 years’ experience in development and production operations supporting a cloud-based environment required with 2-4 years of customer facing role experience preferred.
- Understanding of Cloud vs. on premise computing. Good understanding of fundamentals of cloud computing.
- Experience with Azure or Amazon AWS or similar SaaS solutions.
- Experience in C/C++ and shell/ Python scripting.
- Familiarity with DevOps CI/CD, Dockers, Kubernetes and involved tools.
- Experience in virtualization/containerization technologies like KVM, docker, containerd. Experience working with Xen-based virtualization as well as using and testing on Linux systems is a plus.
- Experience in standard opensource cloud technologies like Kuberenetes, openstack, helm, microservices etc.
- Experience in YAML, Gitlab, Jenkins or Tekton is a plus.
- Exceptional team player who works well in collaborative environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Self-managed, fast learner with the desire and ability to master new technologies.
