Job Description
- Experience in open source technologies like Kubernetes, Envoy, gRPC
- Experience in L4-L7 networking protocol design and development, and load balancers
- Experience in cloud deployments and PAAS
- Experience in Go/C++ and owning and delivering large programs that also involve owning the services
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 8 years of experience in designing and developing large-scale distributed systems
- 5 years of experience managing teams
- Experience in cloud computing
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in designing and developing large-scale distributed systems, and 5 years of experience managing teams.

Responsibilities
- Lead the Cloud Service Mesh (CSM) team in Bengaluru.
- Own CSM for Google Distributed Cloud and the off-GCP technical stack. Co-locate and collaborate with the gRPC team, and set up a charter for the Service Networking team to take on gRPC proxyless service mesh and gRPC direct path.
- Lead the team through onboarding, execution, and deliveries. Recruit and scale the team sustainably.
- Lead large programs with adjacent Cloud Networking teams and beyond after onboarding.
