Hogarth, a WPP company, is seeking a Senior Finance Manager in Jakarta, Indonesia. This role is crucial for overseeing all financial operations, including daily management, monthly/quarterly/annual reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. The manager will ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, manage cash flow, and maintain compliance with internal and external audit requirements. The position involves working closely with global/regional finance teams and managing a finance executive team, requiring strong analytical and communication skills.
Must have:
  • Overall responsibility for all Finance aspects, including daily operations and reporting.
  • Manage month-end close for timely and accurate reporting.
  • Prepare/review month-end adjustments, balance sheet reconciliations, and intercompany balances.
  • Lead annual, quarterly, and monthly budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Prepare monthly management information, including variance analysis.
  • Accountable for cash management and payment approvals.
  • Work with Account Servicing to verify job completion and billing.
  • Monthly review of ageing reports (WIP, debtors, creditors).
  • Collaborate with Global/Regional Finance on compliance, processes, and systems.
  • Maintain internal SOX and other controls for audit compliance.
  • Responsible for VAT returns and submission.
  • Liaise with auditors, accountants, and tax advisers for timely filings.
  • Prepare statutory year-end accounts.
  • Oversee office administration.
  • Handle ad hoc financial projects and tasks.
  • Manage a team of Finance Executive(s).
  • Undergrad/MSc Degree in Accounting and Finance.
  • Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a commercial or financial role.
  • Experience with global organizations and foreign enterprises.
  • Strong English speaking and writing skills.
  • Professional accounting qualification (in process or obtained).
  • Essential financial modelling and budget planning experience.
  • Ability to analyze large data volumes with strong Excel skills.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.

Reporting lines and key stakeholders:

This role reports to the Head of Office, Jakarta with a functional reporting into the CFO, APAC

Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsible for all Finance aspects including daily operation, monthly/quarterly/annual management and statutory reporting
  • Manage month end close for all reporting units ensuring timely and accurate reporting in line with Hogarth/WPP requirements
  • Prepare/review month-end adjustment journals, balance sheet reconciliations, confirmation and reconciliation of intercompany balances, prepayments and accruals to ensure accuracy
  • In-charge of annual, quarterly and monthly budgeting and forecasting process
  • Prepare monthly management information for discussion at management meetings including actual to forecast analysis, variance analysis and trends
  • Accountable for all cash management and payment approvals
  • Work with Account Servicing team/project manager to verify job completion status, closure, interim and final billing
  • Monthly review of all the ageing reports, include WIP, debtors, creditors, etc
  • Work closely with Global/Regional Finance in respect of compliance, accounting processes, systems and control environment
  • Maintain internal SOX and other controls/processes to ensure compliance with SOX, Internal and External Audit requirements
  • Responsible for VAT returns and submission to Customs and Excise
  • Year round liaison with auditors, accountants and tax advisers to ensure timely finalisation of accounts and filings as appropriate
  • Prepare statutory year end accounts
  • Oversee office administration
  • Ad hoc financial projects and tasks as required
  • Manage a team of Finance Executive(s)

Requirements:

  • Undergrad/MSc Degree in Accounting and Finance
  • Excellent communication skills and multi-tasking ability.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in a commercial or financial role.
  • Experience of global organizations and working with foreign enterprises.
  • Strong English speaking and writing skills.
  • In process of gaining or having a professional accounting qualification.
  • Financial modelling and budget planning experience essential.
  • Able to analyze large volumes of data with strong Excel skills.
  • Able to work without direct supervision.
