Job Description

A Senior Financial Analyst at Nium evaluates financial data to provide insights that drive business decisions. This role involves forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing market trends to assess company performance. Key responsibilities include acting as a proactive team partner for specific international entities, maintaining compliance calendars, liaising with other teams, assisting in monthly financial preparations (Income Statement, Balance Sheet), reviewing bank reconciliations, performing variance analysis, and ensuring audit readiness. The analyst will also assist with cash forecasts and financial migrations to NetSuite, focusing on process streamlining and automation.
Must have:
  • Act as key point of contact and support for specific international entities.
  • Maintain up to date record of compliance calendar across all entities and regions.
  • Liaise with other teams (Banking, Operations, Tax) to coordinate requirements and improve processes.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly financials (Income Statement and Balance sheet).
  • Review Bank Reconciliations monthly.
  • Perform variance analysis, accruals and provisions for expenses and revenue.
  • Maintain Audit readiness for all entities each month.
  • Assist in preparation of Cash Forecast.
  • Assist in migration of financials to NetSuite for new entities.
  • Focus on streamlining, automation and effectiveness of processes.
  • Qualified CA with minimum 3+ years’ experience in public accounting firm (Big 4 preferred) and/or MNC.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting.
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and meticulous.
  • Independent worker able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Onsite presence in Mumbai Office.

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactive team partner act as the key point of contact and support for specific international entity/entities.
  • Maintain up to date record of compliance calendar across all entities and regions. Ensure data availability of across entities to ensure compliance and regulatory information is met.
  • Liaise with other teams, Banking Team, Operations, Tax etc to coordinate requirements, flow of information and improvement of processes.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly financials – Income Statement and Balance sheet for all entities and at consol level.
  • Review of Bank Reconciliations at monthly intervals.
  • Perform variance analysis, accruals and provisions for expenses and revenue.
  • Maintain Audit readiness for all entities each month.
  • Assist in preparation of Cash Forecast for current and future months.
  • Assist in migration of financials to NetSuite for new entities.
  • Focus on streamlining, automation and effectiveness of processes.

Requirements:

  • Qualified CA with min 3+ years’ experience in public accounting firm (Big 4 preferred) and/or MNC.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting is a must. Should be technically strong with solid knowledge. Needs to look at compliance matters.
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards is required. Knowledge of other foreign local GAAP is advantageous.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and meticulous.
  • Independent worker who is able to work well with minimal supervision.
  • Onsite – Mumbai Office.
