With a party of veteran IOI guild members and new wizards and sorceresses of the industry, we are building an ambitious new IP for console and PC that will revolutionize the online fantasy RPG genre. As a Game Designer with expertise in 3C you will get to design the core gameplay elements that are crucial to the player's experience. We are laying the foundations, and we want you to play a key role in it.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop and refine character movements, ensuring they are smooth, responsive, and engaging.
  • Design intuitive control schemes that enhance player interaction and enjoyment.
  • Craft camera systems that enhance the player’s view and maintain immersion.
  • Collaborate closely with animators, gameplay programmers, and other teams to prototype and implement 3C features.
  • Take designs through a full development cycle from concept to release.
  • Use metrics, player feedback, and diverse analytics to improve and refine the design.

Who You Are:

  • Experience as a Game Designer with a strong focus on 3C features, with at least 5 years in the industry.
  • Shipped at least one AAA game where you were heavily involved in, or in charge of, character, controls, and camera design.
  • Proficient with visual scripting languages.
  • Passionate about and deeply understanding of game mechanics, with experience playing a wide variety of titles.
  • Enjoy working hands-on with prototypes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

About The Company

IO Interactive is a 25-year old, AAA independent game studio, creators of HITMAN, Kane & Lynch, Mini Ninjas and Freedom Fighters. We are currently working on Project 007, Project Fantasy, and continue to develop Glacier, our award-winning game engine.
