Job Summary
Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Education, established in 2012, seeks a Senior Manager for Academic and Student Affairs. This role involves organizing operational support for academic activities, assisting in program development, advising new faculty and students, and collaborating with the Registrar's and Admissions Offices. The manager will also monitor student progress, prepare reports, and support alumni. Must Have
- Organize operational support for the School's academic activities, including faculty arrival, student selection, and seminars.
- Assist the Director and Vice-Dean in developing and evaluating academic programs and courses.
- Advise new faculty and staff on academic and student matters.
- Collaborate with the Registrar's Office to prepare academic schedules and distribute faculty workloads.
- Organize student evaluations of academic courses each semester and maintain results.
- Work with School alumni and support the alumni association.
- Provide counseling and support to School students.
- Participate in student recruitment and selection, working with the Admissions Department.
- Monitor student progress, attendance, and provide academic advice.
- Provide statistical reports on students, programs/courses, and analyze results.
- Prepare reports, analytical materials, and letters within competence.
- Interact with the Admissions Department on student recruitment and admission, including program details and deadlines.
- Organize meetings, complete protocols, process candidate evaluation forms, and prepare admission/rejection letters.
- Participate in risk identification, assessment, management, and monitoring processes.
- Qualitatively and timely perform tasks from the Dean, Vice-Dean, Head, and University management.
- Knowledge of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of education.
- Knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint programs.
- Fluent in English, Kazakh, and Russian languages.
- Higher professional education, preferably from English-medium higher education institutions.
- At least 3 years of work experience in a relevant field with a Master's degree, or 5 years with a Bachelor's/Specialist degree.

Job Description
1) Organize operational support for the School's academic activities, including organizing the arrival of faculty, student selection, seminars for School faculty and students, and other events related to the School's academic activities;
2) Assist the Director for Academic and Student Affairs, as well as the Vice-Dean, in developing and evaluating academic programs and/or courses;
3) Advise new faculty and staff of the School on academic and student matters;
4) Work with the Registrar's Office, assist in preparing the academic schedule and distributing faculty workload;
5) Organize student evaluations of academic courses at the end of each semester and store evaluation results;
6) Assist in managing the School's social media for academic matters;
7) Work with School alumni, support the alumni association;
8) Provide counseling and support to School students;
9) Participate in student recruitment and selection, and work with the Admissions Department;
10) Monitor student progress, attendance, and advise on academic matters;
11) Provide statistical reports on students, programs/courses within their competence, analyze results;
12) Prepare reports, analytical materials, and letters within their competence;
13) Interact with the Admissions Department on student recruitment and admission issues, including study programs, admission procedures and document submission deadlines, participation in recruitment campaigns, preparation of handouts;
14) Organize meetings, fill out protocols, collect and process candidate evaluation forms, prepare invitation letters and rejection letters for admission;
15) Participate in the processes of identifying, assessing, managing, and monitoring risks within the supervised area.
16) Qualitatively and timely perform other tasks of the Dean, Vice-Dean, Head, and University management within their official duties and powers.
Qualifications
Education
Higher professional education, preferably from higher education institutions teaching in English;
Master's degree is welcome

- with a Master's degree – at least 3 years of work experience in a field corresponding to the specified job responsibilities;
