Job Summary

As a Lead Project Manager, you will lead critical marketing and enterprise initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. You will continuously improve project management processes, systems, and team effectiveness, partnering across departments to optimize workflows, mitigate risks, and align project execution to strategic marketing and business goals. This role involves leading complex, cross-functional initiatives end-to-end, creating structured project plans, managing timelines, and driving alignment through effective meeting facilitation and post-project reviews. You will also strengthen operational excellence by building scalable workflows, training teams, and improving PMO processes.

Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field
  • 6 years of progressive project management experience in a marketing, creative, or agency environment
  • Deep working knowledge of project management principles, tools, and methodologies (ClickUp, Asana, Jira, Google Suite, etc.)
  • Proven ability to lead multi-channel, cross-functional campaigns and large-scale initiatives
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including stakeholder and executive communication

Job Description

Impact

As a Lead Project Manager located remotely, you will be responsible for leading critical marketing and enterprise initiatives that drive organizational growth and operational excellence. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget while continuously improving project management processes, systems, and team effectiveness. You will also partner across departments to optimize workflows, mitigate risks, and align project execution to strategic marketing and business goals.

While no two days are the same, in this role, you will lead complex, cross-functional initiatives end to end, creating structured project plans and managing clear timelines, ownership, and a single source of truth. You will drive alignment and momentum by planning and facilitating key meetings, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and leading post-project reviews to identify improvements. You will also strengthen operational excellence by building scalable workflows and tools, training teams on best practices, and improving PMO processes, reporting, and operating rhythms across marketing.

You will work closely with cross-functional leaders and external agencies to manage scope, expectations, and quality. You will facilitate productive stakeholder discussions, remove blockers, and maintain steady progress across teams. In addition, you will mentor junior PMs, support a culture of collaboration and growth, help team members prioritize effectively, and guide teams through organizational or strategic changes with clarity and steadiness.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • You have 6 years of progressive project management experience in a marketing, creative, or agency environment.

Shipt considers candidates located near a Shipt office or workspace in Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to be hybrid, which means that they have the flexibility to work from home (with leader approval) or at a Shipt office in order to facilitate the ability to innovate, collaborate, and spark team connections.
