Job Summary

Reporting to the Head of Creative, the Senior Marketing Video Artist brings advanced motion design and video production skills to Kabam’s marketing creative. This role is responsible for concepting, animating, editing, and delivering polished, high-performing video assets across mobile and PC titles. The ideal candidate has strong visual instincts, understands modern video marketing trends, and can work efficiently within a fast-paced live-ops environment. This role also contributes to the exploration and adoption of new AI tools and workflows that help optimize quality and output.

Must Have

  • Concept, animate, and edit high-quality video content for brand, social, UA, ASO, and community channels.
  • Produce motion graphics, character animations, cinemagraphs, and short-form storytelling content.
  • Develop style frames, motion studies, and early concepts for campaign beats and feature updates.
  • Execute the full video pipeline from concept to final delivery, ensuring accuracy, polish, and consistency.
  • Prepare multiple format versions for platform-specific needs (16:9, 4:5, 1:1, 9:16, etc.).
  • Capture high-quality in-game and custom cinematic shots using game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine 5.
  • Maintain organized project files, timelines, and versioning standards.
  • Test and integrate new AI tools and methodologies to improve workflow speed, asset generation, and production efficiency.
  • Work closely with UA, Brand, Product Marketing, and Game teams to understand goals and translate them into effective motion creative.
  • Bachelor’s degree in animation, motion design, video production, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5-8+ years of professional experience in motion design, marketing video production, or video content creation.
  • A strong portfolio and reel demonstrating a wide range of motion graphics, editing work, and campaign assets.
  • Expertise with Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Solid understanding of motion principles, timing, pacing, and visual storytelling.
  • Familiarity with social and UA video trends, best practices, and creative testing approaches.
  • Experience using AI-assisted tools for motion workflows, editing, rotoscoping, or asset generation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills for articulating creative decisions.

  • Entertainment or gaming industry experience.
  • Experience with 3D workflows (Cinema 4D, Blender, etc.).
  • Experience with live-action production shoots (camera and lighting).

Reporting to the Head of Creative, the Senior Marketing Video Artist brings advanced motion design and video production skills to Kabam’s marketing creative. This role is responsible for concepting, animating, editing, and delivering polished, high-performing video assets across mobile and PC titles. The ideal candidate has strong visual instincts, understands modern video marketing trends, and can work efficiently within a fast-paced live-ops environment. This role also contributes to the exploration and adoption of new AI tools and workflows that help optimize quality and output.

This role is a full-time, on-site position based 5 days a week at our Downtown Vancouver studio.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Key Accountabilities
  • Creation of Video Assets for Various channels:
  • Concept, animate, and edit high-quality video content for brand, social, UA, ASO, and community channels.
  • Produce motion graphics, character animations, cinemagraphs, and short-form storytelling content.
  • Develop style frames, motion studies, and early concepts for campaign beats and feature updates.
  • Ensure all assets align with brand and product visual identity guidelines.
  • Build lightweight animated branding elements, transitions, logo animations, and templates for recurring events.
  • Support external vendors with reference materials, direction, and feedback as needed.
  • Production:
  • Execute the full video pipeline from concept to final delivery, ensuring accuracy, polish, and consistency.
  • Prepare multiple format versions for platform-specific needs (16:9, 4:5, 1:1, 9:16, etc.).
  • Capture high-quality in-game and custom cinematic shots using game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine 5
  • Maintain organized project files, timelines, and versioning standards.
  • Test and integrate new AI tools and methodologies to improve workflow speed, asset generation, and production efficiency.
  • Build reusable project templates and motion systems to help scale localization and versioning.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with UA, Brand, Product Marketing, and Game teams to understand goals and translate them into effective motion creative.
  • Collaborate with game teams and producers to gather assets, capture footage, and ensure marketing visual accuracy.
  • Participate in creative brainstorms, sharing references, motion trends, and ideas to help shape campaign direction.
  • Provide peer feedback to other artists, helping maintain a consistent visual quality bar across the team.
  • Coordinate with external partners on specific video tasks or deliverables when required.

To be successful in this role, your background includes:

The typical hiring range listed above is specific to candidates located in Vancouver. The salary will be determined based on your knowledge, skills and competencies, and you’ll have room to grow after you join!
