Job Summary

As a Senior Motion Capture Specialist, you will play a key role in planning and executing mocap sessions and processing animation data across projects. You will collaborate with artists, animators, and developers to create believable, high-quality performances. Responsibilities include overseeing mocap shoots, processing data (retargeting, solving, tracking), coordinating logistics, designing mobile mocap setups, maintaining hardware, and researching new technologies to enhance the team's pipeline.

Must Have

  • Overseeing all stages of the motion capture shoot
  • Processing mocap data: retargeting, solving, tracking
  • Coordinating logistics and collaborating with internal stakeholders during shoot planning
  • Designing and assembling mobile mocap setups for offsite shoots
  • Maintaining and improving hardware related to the mocap pipeline
  • Researching new technologies to evolve the team’s pipeline and practices
  • 4+ years experience in motion capture (games, film, or commercials)
  • Proficiency with mocap software (Shogun or Blade)
  • Strong knowledge of Autodesk MotionBuilder
  • Experience designing remote/on-location mocap setups
  • Familiarity with solving pipelines and video capture systems
  • Fluent English and Polish (spoken and written)

Good to Have

  • Timecode syncing experience
  • Python scripting experience

Job Description

As a Senior Motion Capture Specialist, you’ll take a key role in planning and executing mocap sessions and processing animation data across projects. You’ll work closely with a diverse team of artists, animators, and developers to bring believable, high-quality performances to life.

Daily responsibilities:

  • Overseeing all stages of the motion capture shoot.
  • Processing mocap data: retargeting, solving, tracking.
  • Coordinating logistics and collaborating with internal stakeholders during shoot planning.
  • Designing and assembling mobile mocap setups for offsite shoots.
  • Maintaining and improving hardware related to the mocap pipeline.
  • Researching new technologies to evolve the team’s pipeline and practices.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional experience in motion capture in production environments (games, film, or commercials).
  • Proficiency with at least one mocap software suite (preferably Shogun or Blade).
  • Strong knowledge of Autodesk MotionBuilder.
  • Experience designing setups for remote/on-location shoots.
  • Familiarity with solving pipelines and video capture systems.
  • Timecode syncing experience is a plus.
  • Python scripting experience is a plus.
  • Comfortable working under pressure in fast-paced, creative settings.
  • Collaborative and inclusive approach to teamwork.
  • Fluent English and Polish (spoken and written).

Working mode

In-office in a hybrid or full-time capacity in Warsaw, Poland. Relocation is required.
