Elsewhere Entertainment is looking for a Senior Multiplayer Gameplay Programmer to join the development of a new IP.
Feed your creativity while collaborating with our team of highly skilled developers to build something innovative, exhilarating, and expansively entertaining!
As a member of the project, you’ll help take the studio and our game from great to even better—with a focus on inclusivity, mutual respect (for ourselves and our players), thoughtfulness, empathy, professionalism, and collaboration.
You’ll help us by…
Designing and implementing gameplay features that are multiplayer compatible, considering latency issues and bandwidth consumption.
Evangelizing the team about multiplayer limitations, requirements and recommending potential solutions/workarounds to their problems.
Anticipating, identifying, and addressing potentials both for improving our game experience, workflows, or scalability across all parts of production.
Having a clear idea of how our product should function and the ability to share this vision with your peers and other stakeholders.
Collaborating with fellow team members of the team.
You’re awesome because you have…
4+ years of professional game engineering experience.
A deep understanding of latency, bandwidth and the general multiplayer game programming domain.
Strong knowledge of C/C++ programming.
Strong 3D math background.
Thorough understanding of common data structures and algorithmic solutions.
The ability to collaborate and thrive as part of a creative team.
Creativity in problem solving and a positive, respectful team-first attitude.
Organization methods and the capability to meet deadlines.
Comfort with self-critique and accepting outside feedback.
A habit of regularly playing and understanding modern video games.
