Advanced Systems Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join their Global Network Services team. The role involves ensuring a highly available global network to support the client's growing global presence. Responsibilities include engineering, deploying, maintaining, and supporting the global wired and wireless data network, voice systems, switches, routers, firewalls, site-to-site IPsec tunnels, and client VPNs. The engineer will collaborate with DevOps & AV teams and partner with the Cyber Security team to implement and maintain security principles and best practices. Key duties involve deploying and supporting complex global networks, ensuring network stability and performance through operational excellence, troubleshooting issues, performing network analysis, and managing upgrades and new implementations. The role also includes evaluating new technologies and documenting standard operating procedures, providing troubleshooting guidance for Tier 1 support, and offering 24x7 Tier 3 IT Network Support.
Must have:
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering
  • 6+ years supporting global networks in SaaS or enterprise environments
  • 4+ years of experience with public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • 4+ years working with SD-WAN solutions
  • Strong expertise in Cisco, Meraki, Aruba Wireless, and Palo Alto firewalls
  • Experience with multicast, unicast, and adaptive bitrate streaming
  • Familiarity with streaming protocols: HLS, MPEG-DASH, RTMP, SRT, RTP, IGMP
  • In-depth understanding of QoS, routing/switching, and IP addressing
  • Hands-on experience with IPsec tunnels, hosted PBX, and voice networks
  • Strong documentation and project lifecycle management skills
  • Ability to support high-availability, fault-tolerant systems
  • On-call availability for 24x7 network support
Good to have:
  • Certifications: CCNA, JNCIA, CCNP, or similar
  • Experience in large-scale broadcast or OTT media delivery networks
  • Working knowledge of SDN, SDDC, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
  • Expertise in protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, HSRP, Multicast, SNMP
  • Familiarity with wireless design tools and site surveys
  • Experience with DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) solutions
  • Background in virtualization technologies
  • High-level knowledge of encryption and transport protocols

We are looking for:  

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our team. You will be a member of a Global Network Services team responsible for ensuring a highly available global network to enable our client's growing global presence. This includes engineering, deploying, maintaining, and supporting the global wired and wireless data network, voice systems, switches, routers, firewalls, site-to-site IPsec tunnels and client VPN. You will collaborate with our DevOps & AV team on several projects and initiatives in addition to partnering with our Cyber Security team to implement, maintain and support security principles and best practices for our internal user community to align with the best-in-class security services. 
  

Job Responsibilities:  

  • Deploy and support a complex global network environment  
  • Ensure network stability and performance through operational excellence and proactive maintenance  
  • Troubleshoot network problems; schedule upgrades; perform network analysis, root cause analysis and optimization  
  • Ensure uptime and monitoring of all corporate network infrastructure and circuits international
  • Secure the network infrastructure by partnering with the Information Security team to establish and enforce policies; define and monitor access  
  • Manage network upgrades, expansions, and new implementation projects  
  • Evaluate partner solution portfolio roadmaps and new technologies for potential deployment across the company's entire footprint of retail stores, warehouses, call centers, and offices globally.  
  • Collaborate on and document standard operating procedures  
  • Ensure that network documentation and diagrams are up to date.  
  • Provide troubleshooting guidance and training for Tier 1 IT support  
  • Provide 24x7 Tier 3 IT Network Support. 
  

Required Qualifications & Experience:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
     
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering
     
  • 6+ years supporting global networks in SaaS or enterprise environments
     
  • 4+ years of experience with public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
     
  • 4+ years working with SD-WAN solutions
     
  • Strong expertise in Cisco, Meraki, Aruba Wireless, and Palo Alto firewalls

Compensation & Benefits:

 
This full-time role offers a salary of $160,000 -$200,000 depending on experience.
